Beautiful Card Designs Made Easy

Playtime ...

Hi Everybody,

So after the craft show on Saturday and the Give Away it has been playtime in my craft room for me.

Once again I have been using the Isopropyl Alcohol and my Spectrum Noir refills and my "Film Crew" has been put to work while I  worked

But it has a very strong smell so please work in a well ventilated area

The flowers are all white and from Wild Orchid Crafts and this time I have gone for the darker colors and I really do like the results.

The card is darker and more dramatic and the one I added to Etsy in these same shades sold straight away.

I have added in a  pearl Hatpin to this one as that seems to be what a lot of people like and it makes the card a little different from the norm.

The video will show you the colors used for each group of flowers but just play with whatever colors you have to hand ... and don't forget to color enough ribbon to complete your design.

I hope you enjoy the short tutorial and I hope you will give it a try for yourself.

More tomorrow ...

Hugs xx

  2. Hi Christina, I have tried this technique on flowers which I have learned from your earlier tutorials and the result was very satisfying. I have not tried on ribbons and cardstocks. Will definitely try it. This technique is also cost saving. As always, today's card is very pretty especially the colour of the ribbon. Thanks for sharing.

  3. What a beauty, Christina! So glad to see that you chose to make some richer colors in your playtime, ha! I do like your pastels, but I'm really drawn to the darker colors :) .... this card will probably sell quickly as well in your shop!

  15. Good afternoon Christina,
Thank you for sharing your hints and tips with us on colouring the ribbon and flowers. Question:- What glue do you use to anchor your flowers onto your cards, please? I have tried that silicone stuff but find it takes long enough to dry and my flowers come of again. I would appreciate your advice flower,
    Many thanks and crafty hugs

  27. Gorgeous job Christina , great video and beautiful card!!! The funny thing is I just made my own alcohol inks from Sharpie Pens (didn't have the alcolhol inks in colors I liked) and did the very same thing spraying the ribbon you gave me and flowers...what a coincidence!!! Have a great day my crafty friend!! hugs
