Tuesday Tutorial - Tudor Rose

Hi Everybody,

This pretty pale blue and white card would be suitable for all occasions and is not too frill for male cards either
It is another that is easy to do as the die does all the work  for you all you have to do is cut and assemble the layers.
The centre shape matches the older Labels One that you may already have in your collection
Spellbinders Supplies:
Other Supplies:
Instructions:

With die #7 from the Matting Basics  A set cut two pieces of white card and create the base
With die #7 from the Matting Basics B set cut one layer in blue
With the two largest dies from the Tudor Rose Card Creator cut two panels in white and trim one of them so that the bottom flower and the leaves are separate
Add foam pads to the back of the separated piece so that they cannot be seen from the front
Add the full panel to the blue layer and add to the base card
Cut the flowers from the Tudor Rose collection that match the flowers on the separated panel
(The photograph shows you where I have attached my flowers in blue and white layers)
Stamp and emboss the sentiment and cut out with Labels One then layer that on to die #3 from Luscious Labels One with foam tape in between
This shape fits beautifully into the centre part of the Tudor Rose Card Creator
Layer up the additional flowers on to the card front as you like and trim as needed

We are all Special ...

Hi Everybody,

Todays card uses a mixture of striped card from  AnnaMarie Designs  and some silver foiled card from  Hunkydory  and although completely different they play nicely together.

I have created the card from 5x7 Matting Basics A&B from Spellbinders  and the foiled card is Labels Twenty

I have used the matching Diamanté from Want2Scrap  to surround both layers of the label

The satin ribbon around all the layers is from  Mei Flower and the lovely sentiment is from  Lili Of The Valley  which has been stamped in black and clear embossed

The bows centrepiece and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts  and are a mixture of Roses, Gypsophillia, Lilies, Apple Blossom and Magnolias.

Just a couple of things I would like to say ... First is that I am going to be stuck with three blue card if the ladies whose names were added as an extra on Saturday to win them don't come forward.  Here are the names again ... and then I give up ....
Donna Sherman ... Jayne Buckley ... Sandra Smith ...
I know we humans like to skim a page but you will miss out if you don't read the blog post completely

Secondly the link to the
Inspiration Page is at the top left of the page and it is a video card collection. Click the photo at the top and it will take you to another page.

It is NOT the  "My Designs"  which I have now moved to the bottom of the column.  That is simply a slideshow from Photobucket and there is nothing to click there and you may get an error message if you try to open that.

And to the ladies who have already found it Thank You for the lovely comments you have left for us. We will be adding more as often as we can

And don't forget that the card photo under the heading Tuesday Tutorial is also clickable and will take you to another new page with lots of tutorials from this blog ... a new one every week ...and Spellbinders with a new one every month.

Fancy that ... Back to pink !!

Hi Everybody,

Well after the change to darker colored cards over the last few days here I am back to full circle again with .... Pink.

And this one is very pretty with lots of flowers, ribbons and pearls.

I have created  a Gilded birdcage and added flowers to it... and the silver foiled card is from Hunkydory

The sentiment is from Crafters Companion  and is from the Sentimentals  range

I used silver gilding flakes and there is a tutorial to show you how I did it.

The dies I used are listed below but the Birdcage one in the list is not the one I used in  the tutorial. That was one I bought at the craft shows and before Spellbinders brought out theirs.

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts along with the button in the centre of the bow.  They have their usual sparkle from Glitter magic

So Proud to be ....

Hi Everybody,

This card is created from a really delicate shade of duck egg blue and the card itself is silver foiled and very pretty. It was added to Etsy but sold almost immediately.

The foiled card is from Cardcraft Plus  which is based in Preston UK ... Many of you may know the shop as Inspirations and it has all manner of goodies in there.

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts  and I have added in my lovely glitter from Glitter magic to the petals

Some of you have written to me to tell me that you too have tried this glitter ... on my recommendation ...  and that you are delighted with it.

The sentiment is from JustRite Stampers and is one that can be mixed and matched with all the words in the set.  The link will take you to have a look at what is on the stamp set ..... BUT ... you can get it cheaper from more local places.

I bought mine at the craft shows I go to and I have had it for some time now and it is very useful.

The  Tattered Lace die in the background is  Double Delights and is the one that was free with the second issue of their magazine.

Now before I close for today I have to ask you all something ...  I have had emails from several people and it has been suggested that maybe I could give away one of my cards each week in exchange for a comment from you.

I would draw one name from those that have left a comment and the winner would get the card on offer.

What do you think of the idea and would you be interested if I did it as say a ...  Friday Freebie ???

Please give it some thought and let me know please ... via a comment

Blue Foiled Card

Hi Everybody,

Today I am sharing two cards that I made using the beautiful foiled card from Hunkydory

It is foiled with silver and it is much nicer in real life than the picture shows.

The blue ribbon is from my "Stash" as are the two snowflake brads that are in the centre of each knot.

Apart from the Diamante around the sentiment there is no other embellishments as the card does it all for you.

Both cards are created in the  Hinged Card   style and both are lined and decorated inside.

The sentiments are from JustRite Stampers and are from the Holiday Sentiments set... and heat embossed in silver

The Diamante  to match the Labels One is from Want2Scrap

Pretty in Pink ...

Hi Everybody,

My Grand-daughter, Robyn,  has been asked to be God-Mother to her friends daughter  and she is so pleased about it.

So she asked me if I would make her a Special Card for the parents to keep and this is what I came up with.

The request was for pink and flowery and it is certainly that.

The pink foiled card is some that I bought from Cardcraft Plus on my trip out to Preston on Monday

The inside has just been decorated with a little tag for Robyn to sign her name.

The pretty baby feet ribbon is from The Ribbon Room

The card used is white hammered card and pink Centura Pearl from Crafters Companion

The flowers are a mixture of Tulips, Carnations, Roses and another one I can't remember the name of ... soreeee !!

Super Easy Fold

This card is so easy to create from just one piece of A4 card... a couple of creases and the card is ready for you to shape and decorate.

I have stamped the images, from Lili of the Valley,  and coloured them in with Promarkers.

They have some lovely new designs out now and you will be spoiled for choice.

I have called this the Tilt Card  and this is the video tutorial on how to get the look for yourself.

It has been on YouTube for a little while and had a good response.

And here's a piece of news I am happy to share with you ...  that my videos have had 602,000 views on YouTube.

So who's a happy cookie then!!

The Rose is created from the Paper Roses Tutorial  and added on top of some white feathers.

The luxury foiled card for the base is from Hunkydory
and you will find some beautiful patterns for all occasions.

The image is one I have had in my collection for a long time and I can't remember where I got it from.
I hope you will give this a try.....it is easy ... honest.

Hugs Christina xx
