The flowers are as always from Wild Orchid Crafts and are a selection of Roses, Tulips, Cherry Blossom and Cosmos Daisies

If you would like to own this card then please join the group of followers and leave me a comment to let me know that you have visited.

Woven Card

Hi Everybody,

This really pretty card is created using Creative Expressions-Weaving Dies from Sue Wilson.

These are  unusual dies and the cards they make are different.

There are two dies in this collection that work together and I bought mine from Joanna Sheen.

I have kept my weaving to plain white and then added in the turquoise for effect.

The base and frame are made with  5x7 Matting Basics A&B from Spellbinders

I have decorated the edges with pearls from Want2Scrap

The satin ribbon is from Mei Flower  and I have tied it in a double bow.

The flowers and the bows centrepiece are from Wild Orchid Crafts  and the display is added to the top of the card and sparkled with Glitter Magic

This is a card that is much better in real life and I am very pleased with the result.

Please Note:

For all of you who asked me for the Triple Flip Card in a video ... here it is for you. Click the link to go to my website  for

Wedding Day Card

Hi Everybody,

This beautiful wedding card is one I was asked to make with very short notice and I made it to the exact specifications as requested

I took a long time over the design and I was very happy with it when it was finished.

It is in gold and white and I have used Sue Wilson Californian Collection dies to create the panel

The flowers are from  Wild Orchid Crafts  are a mixture of Roses, Tulips and Gysophilia

There is Guipure lace around the layers with white satin ribbon and the double bow has a gold centrepiece over the knot

I added a verse to the inside and it came with a matching box and a tag for the sender to add their own note or signature

Weaving Again ...

Hi Everybody,

Here is another of the woven cards using the new Sue Wilson die sets.

For this card I have cut each one of them   Classic  together with the Striped  just once to create the stripy background

The panels has been wrapped with ribbon before adding it to the base and a double bow sits on the top with a turquoise dazzler over the knot

The stain ribbon is from Mei Flower and comes in many colors and it ties in a soft bow every time

The sentiments is a rubber stamp and I have heat embossed it in clear then add pieces of pearls flourish from Want2Scrap  around it

The beautiful flowers are from  Wild Orchid Crafts

I have arranged the display around the sentiment in a half circle and then added pearl swirls around them

The whole striped panel has then been  layered with teal and white and then added to a larger card base with an embossed layer underneath.

It is a very striking card and I am happy with the result.

Weave Effect ...

Hi Everybody,

This pretty design is using both of the new Weaving dies from Sue Wilson and they give a really unusual effect to your cards

The titles of them are  Weaving Dies Classic  and Weaving Dies Striped   and both are available from Joanna Sheen

They can be used separately or together and the look will be different each time

For this card I have used both together to create the pink and white weaves  and then added a large rose from Spellbinders   Crafty Flower Four

The vine behind the flower is  Foliage Flourish  and the sentiment is  Sentiments Three

The base card is created from Grand Large Labels but this has been retired from Spellbinders website.

How ever you may still be able to find retired dies if you visit other companies that deal with "Close Out"  dies.

Have a browse around  Save On Hobbies  and the price will be reduced too but once they are gone there will not be any more

The turquoise card has used both dies again but I have added in the color just once and it gives another look to the design

The flowers are from  Wild Orchid Crafts  and I have added diamante into each corner from   Want2Scrap

The sentiment is from Lili of the Valley  and there are many for all occasions for you to choose from

Hi Everybody,

I have had a lovely Sunday off before the busy week ahead although Saturday was spent preparing samples for the coming shows

I really hope that you will like some of the things I will be showing you over the three days and I have kept them easy to follow for those that are new to cardmaking.

I haven't had time to make new cards so this is one that I have shown earlier this year.

The butterflies are the Martha Stewart Monarch punch and I have added gemstones from  Want2Scrap  along the body line.

The ribbon is soft organza from Mei Flower and it is tied in a double bow.

The centre of the know is covered with a beautiful pearl and diamanté dazzler from Wild Orchid Crafts   and just gives a lovely finish to the ribbon

The background to the card is created from Sue Wilsons background to the French Collection and I have covered it in Glitter.

The verse is from the Sheena Douglass collection with Crafters Companion

Friday Freebie 026

Hi Everybody,

Gosh these Fridays are coming round quick ... too quick !!

But here we are with another one and this time I have chosen a pale blue and white ... with an enormous double bow ...

Sorreee if you don't like big bows ... next week I will find a smaller one especially for the FF

This card has a lovley verse on it for your friend and so I am sure that some one will enjoy giving it to someone special in their lives.

It uses  Seville from the Sue Wilson Spanish Collection and it is a die that I really love.

My ladies used it to add to boxes and I added their designs to the blog yesterday for you to see.

So if you would like this card to be on its way to you then just leave me a comment at the end of the post and a name will be drawn later.

I am not going to draw the winner until tomorrow to give those who live at the other end of the world  time to add their comments.

But if you have left one please come back and check if you are the new owner of this card.

Wednesday Card Class

Hi Everybody,

Just a quick post to show you what my ladies made yesterday to compliment the card they created a couple of weeks ago.

Neither of them had made boxes before and so this was quite a change for us.
But they have both produced something to be proud of  that matches their cards beautifully.

We used the same die for the box lid that we had used to create the card and it is  Seville from Sue Wilson  Spanish Collection .. available from JGD Crafts

The flowers are a selection from Wild Orchid Crafts and both ladies love these flowers as much as I do

And of course by now they are also used to adding sparkle to their blooms with Glitter Magic

At the end of the class we had a little spare time and so we played with some shaving foam in preparation for the next class when we will make a card using the unique paper that they have produced.

Watch this space

Pretty Bows

Hi Everybody,

This week the ladies in my Card Class added some pretty bows to their cards and we used a 250 gsm card from the Papermill Direct  throughout

We used the  Sue Wilson Classic and Lattice 3-D bows and layered the two together

There is a whole selection of Sues' designs  available to you from   JGD Crafts

Both of these cards are lovely but once again they have gone for completely different color schemes

This time Mary has gone for the darker colors and Brenda has gone for the pale ones ... it's usually the other way round.

Mary has chosen the flowers that match the dots in the background paper and Brenda has gone for those that match the tiny bees on her paper.

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts ... and don't forget that WOC have very kindly put together some starter packs which have flowers of  different sizes in them at a  really good price.

The flowers have been sparkled with Glitter Magic  to give an extra special look.

I think both cards look good and my ladies are doing really well with what they achieve each week.
