Beautiful Card Designs Made Easy

Mystical Embrace ...

Hi Everybody,

How Spellbinders come up with these names for their dies is wonderful and they have some fabulous titles to them.

This beautiful swirly one is called Mystical Embrace and it is truly gorgeous.

It is one of the 5 x 7 card creators and despite all the intricacy of the pattern it cuts like a dream and just falls out of the die.

It is one of those dies that I fell in love with as soon as I saw it ... and it has not disappointed me.

Apart from some layered white  card I have stayed with  the die to make the rest of it.

The ribbon is a wide  pink one and I have tied it in a double  bow and added in a Diamante and pearl  centre into the bow

I have added in a beautiful hatpin to the knot and this is removable as a small gift.

The pearls around the edges  are from Want2Scrap   and add just that little extra to the card.

Valiant Honor

Hi Everybody,

For this card I have used the new  Valiant Honor  set that arrived over the  weekend.

I have used  the long label  and cut it a dozen times to create the fan... and  added pearls from  Want2Scrap  along each of the pieces and teardrop pearls along the top.

The tag has  been stamped and heat  embossed  and added with foam  pads to raise it up.

I have cut the base in the hinged card style  from the Grand Large Labels

The ribbon and flowers have been colored to blend with the card.

The Dotty card  is from AnnaMarie Designs

Very simple card but good for girly ones and I will be playing more with these and the other new dies this week.

Who owns the card ....

Hi Everybody,

As promised here is the name of the winner of last weeks Friday Freebie ... sorry for the delay but I have been gallivanting around the country.  I have left it until today as I didn't want to get the monthly prize mixed up with the free card.

So the new owner of the card is Lynda Brock  you need to email  me  ... christina@card-making-magic.com ...
with your postal address and I will get the card in the post to you immediately.

So while wandering in and out of the shops in Chester I just had to see what Primark had to offer in the "Bling" line

This is what I came up with and it is an amazing collection that cost me very little for the items I got.

They are all elasticated bracelets with lovely enameled patterns on the tops and they will look really good in the centre of a flower or bow.
And once they have been taken apart this is what I have.

As I use them on a project I will tell you it is a Primark bracelet and show you a close up of the item used.

But they are really pretty and they are metal and not plastic so they won't look cheap and nasty on my work.

And on my return home there are three new Spellbinders dies waiting on my door mat just calling for  me to play

So over the next few days I will add some cards and I will list the dies  so that you can see what they look  like.

Chester Weekend Break ....

Hi Everybody,

This is me "live" again after a lovely weekend away in Chester... and the  weather has been so kind to us

We just relaxed on the Friday as we didn't get there until late afternoon and the hotel was very comfortable and friendly.

We stayed at the Mill Hotel and on the Friday evening we had our dinner aboard this narrow boat as we sailed along the Shropshire canal.

Then it was up early on Saturday morning to go and explore the city centre

We visited the Cathedral and wandered along the Cloister corridors in the peace and quiet.

We had several coffee stops in different places... and some delicious ice cream after a sailing along the river Dee

I couldn't resist taking this photo to show you as I thought it was very amusing ... and I bet many a wife would love to take up the offer and leave hubby for a while.

So later today I will be telling you who is the  winner the April "Give Away" and all those lovely goodies that are on offer.
... won't be long
