This is me "live" again after a lovely weekend away in Chester... and the weather has been so kind to us
We just relaxed on the Friday as we didn't get there until late afternoon and the hotel was very comfortable and friendly.
We stayed at the Mill Hotel and on the Friday evening we had our dinner aboard this narrow boat as we sailed along the Shropshire canal.
Then it was up early on Saturday morning to go and explore the city centre
We visited the Cathedral and wandered along the Cloister corridors in the peace and quiet.
We had several coffee stops in different places... and some delicious ice cream after a sailing along the river Dee
I couldn't resist taking this photo to show you as I thought it was very amusing ... and I bet many a wife would love to take up the offer and leave hubby for a while.
So later today I will be telling you who is the winner the April "Give Away" and all those lovely goodies that are on offer.
... won't be long
Hugs xx

Sounds like a lovely weekend ~ and the scenery is wonderful. Loved seeing what it looks like at your end of the world ;)
ReplyDeleteI've been to Chester. Lovely place. Hope it inspires more lovely cards, too.
ReplyDeletei'll be there next weekend visiting my Dad. I was born in Chester but moved 200 miles away 40 years ago when I married. I never appreciated it till I moved, now when I visit, I see it with a tourists eyes and its lovely.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful cathedral! I had to chuckle when I read the disclosure at the bottom of the sign that you MUST return! LOL I can think of many days when I could use a service like that! Can't wait to see who the lucky winner of the lovely prize package is later today!
ReplyDeleteLove your tutorials and am a frequent browser! Thanks for all you do for us! You make the world a lovelier place to reside in!
Glad you enjoyed your trip Christina - I love Chester. I'm sure if an enterprising person opened a crèche for husbands and charged a reasonable price they would make a fortune! I think hubbies would be quite happy too if they didn't have to trudge around clothes shopping with their better half! Pat x

Christina, I live on the other side of the world from you and as I was looking at your photograph my thoughts took me to how different our worlds look. I have nothing around me that looks like your photos but yet my world is so beautiful in a different way. Our views are different but in so many ways our views are the same. Card making brings me such joy and I am so grateful for the inspiration and teaching methods you provide. so glad I found your blog. Thank You!
