Guess What ... It's Pink ...

Hi Everybody,

Here we are with another Sunday morning and the start of a new week.  I hope it is a good one for you all and for me it will be a busy one.

After my escapade yesterday at the non existent craft show I thought I would make some pretty cards.

Val H   wrote that at least it showed I was human making a mistake like that.

Yes I am certainly human.  and I  bleed too   'coz  as I was cutting a lovely Fish Tail  into this ribbon ... I continued the very neat V with some really sharp scissors .... in to my finger.

I  had to stop it  bleeding with  some  kitchen roll wrapped around it  ... held in place with a  bright green  elastic band   as I couldn't find anything else  in my first aid box.

This card is created once again from the Sue Wilson dies and for this I have used the background from the Spanish Collection with the Galicia die on the top.

The sentiment is from   Lili of the Valley  and there are several on the same stamp plate.

The pearl flourishes are from  Want2Scrap  and they are around the sentiment label

I have used  Glitter Magic  on the mixture of flowers from   Wild Orchid Crafts  and they have some beautiful new products in this month that are well worth a browse

More tomorrow ...

Hugs xx

  6. Card is beautiful Christina, have to say when I read your blog early yesterday I was gutted to think there was a craft show on in Liverpool. I was trying to find out where it was, obviously couldn't find out and spent the day very disappointed that I hadn't seen the advert in the first place. If it makes you feel any better, years ago I took my mother in law to the Alzheimer's clinic on the wrong day, nearly wet myself laughing.

  7. Hi Christina
Love today's card. How annoying that the craft show was cancelled. Seemed to have missed a couple of blogs. we have the Rello's (their words not mine) over from Australia. They will be off to Sheffield today, then travelling around. Come back to us a few days before the 24th as we shall all be off to Austria, My partners other brother and his wife are coming as well, so we shall be a party of six.

  15. Your card is so lovely; what a shame you were 'wounded in action" while creating it! Sorry to hear about the craft show cancellation. They should have made it clear earlier, for everyone. At least you had a day out! BethAnn M.

  20. Christina,
Talk about costing you "blood, sweat, and tears," but it was worth it, such a lovely creation. I love the ribbon, but you didn't mention where it came from. You are sure creating some amazing cards with those Sue Wilson dies.

  27. Hi Christina, isn't it a nuisance when that happens? I do it quite a lot, little cut here and another there! I always keep a box of plasters nearby, just because it is so me to do that!
Todays card (sorry ... YESTERDAY'S) card is really lovely and I just love the flower arrangement! The blog news still comes a day late .... sometimes 2 or 3 days! Still, some of the other blogs I have subscribed to, seem to have STOPPED altogether and I can't always remember all the ones I had! So I am thankful that at least I do still get yours, even if late! TFS! Hugs, Karen xx
