This pretty card is created using the Italian Background by Sue Wilson from JGD Crafts
I have cut the pattern twice and one of them is silver, and layered them together with a slight offset to the one below so that the silver just shows through.
The Faux Quilled Blooms and Leaves are also designed by Sue and they have been inked with Distress Inks to add some color
The Bow and ribbon strip have also been used to finish the card and I have used some turquoise pearls to add to the centre of each flower.
Then I was extremely lazy and added in a printed sentiment that is silver foiled.
And that's it quick and easy card that looks better in the hand than it does on a photo.
More on the WOC flowers and Paul has agreed to put together Starter Packs of flowers in various sizes and styles for you to try and there will be several color ways for you to choose from.
So pop over to Wild Orchid Crafts later today and have a good look and see if there is something that takes your fancy .. I am sure you are going to love them and the price too.
More tomorrow ...
Hugs xx
Good morning Christina, a stunning card I love it all.
ReplyDeleteBeen concentrating so much on Sue's new Dies had forgotten about this background one. Must get it out and use it.
I think we all need to use ready made things now and again, not lazy at all.
Have a great day

ReplyDeleteMorning Christina,
ReplyDeleteA fabulous card. love the flowers such a useful die set, use it all the time. I must say the WOC flowers are truly beautiful, the only problem is they do make the card fatter so you have to make a box.

Lovely card Christina - I now need the die for those flowers and leaves as I haven't seen them before and they're so delicate looking.

Love the idea of using the die twice & offsetting to let the underneath colour show - I'll be trying that out! Pretty colour on the layer under the die cuts - I thin it is blue but it could be turquoise if you've used that colour on the flower centres. A beautiful card. Pat x

Beautiful Card Christina. Just wish I lived closer to the UK so I could buy these dies and flowers without the terrible exchange rate and shipping and import duties...sigh :)
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful x
ReplyDeleteLovely card as usual Christina!
ReplyDeleteChristina, I've just ordered the flowers die and the leaf die from Joanna Sheen over there in the UK as I don't pay postage to Australia if I spend more than 8 pound so it's handy for we Aussies. Looking forward to playing with them as they are so delicate.
