Spellbinders Labels Forty ...

Hi Everybody,

I have used Spellbinders for many years now and when I first started I  bought any that took my fancy.

But as I have progressed I learned that I get a lot more from the sets by buying a little more carefully.

For example I have the plain Labels Forty   which is excellent for matting and layering ... but if you team it with it's other counterparts then it will work even better for you.

This card base is created with Labels Forty  Decorative Accents    and layered up with others in the sets.

The addition of the verse from Lili of the Valley and a little Gingham ribbon  from Mei Flower and you have a pretty card ready to give.

This one is created with  the plain Labels Forty to create the base and then layered with   Labels Forty Decorative Elements   to add the lace pattern.

The wording is Sentiments Four and I have trimmed it down to fit the card.

The single flowers is from Wild Orchid Crafts and it is sparkled up with Glitter Magic

Just some ways to use the Labels and matching dies for cards that are fancy but very easy to make.

And if you click the links you will be able to see ALL the products used on the cards

More tomorrow ...

Hugs xx

  9. Hi Christina, you've sold the idea to me...I don't have too many dies and a lot of the ones I do have are more for embellishing the cards. Now that you've shown us how beautiful the cards can be by using the 'basic' labels sets I now have them right at the top of my Spellbinders list, I think Labels 40 is going to be my first one :). Thanks for showing us both cards. x

  15. Both cards are very pretty Christine but I do prefer the dies used in the 1st one. I love how you've inked some of the layers too and I'm 'wild' about gingham be it card, ribbon, whatever. Great work as usual. Mary Mac

  21. Christina,
What amazingly gorgeous cards. Those dies are simply stunning. Amazing what a difference it makes to see them cut, versus the picture. Great, great, job.

  22. Good morning Christina, I'm not sure how to contact you and ask your advice.
I have recently purchased Spellbinders decorative elements labels 40, and I'm having tremendous difficulty releasing the card from the die without tearing it. I remember a long time ago you produced a video, rubbing a tumble dryer sheet over the die before using, all to no avail. My machines are Gemini and the old red grand calibur. Can you offer any other advice please. Love your cards as always, Tricia Westcott

    1. Maybe your card is too thin and that is why it tears. The card that I use is at least 255gsm. Try adding some grease proof paper between the card and the die as that will help it to release. I have both machines that you mention and my card cuts really well Cxx
