This bright card is one from the Create and Craft show and it will certainly wake you up.
I have used a very deep yellow ribbon and teamed it with the black of the floral paper.
I toned it down a little with the pale yellow flowers but I have to say that I do like it
It seems to grow on you after a while.
So the paper that I used is from Anna Griffin and there are some lovely designs in the paper stack
The ribbon is from my "Stash" and it is all tangled up with other colors in a bag that I just have to cut off what I need each time.
The die is Labels Forty Six and has a Decorative Element to it also. It was featured last week on C&C and I did several demos with this die set
It may not be your cup of tea but once the colors are to your liking it makes a really unusual centre piece for any of your designs.
More tomorrow ...
Hugs xx
i have card color similar to your yellow and always pick it up and put it down again. your card shows that i should give it a try as this card is so bright and cheerful. i am a quiet personality so go for quiet safe colors so i will have to change . crafty hugs.

Christina I do love the black and yellow combination. The labels 46 looks an interesting shape. Thanks for your inspiration Ann
ReplyDeleteHi Christina
ReplyDeleteLove the design of the card. However, the colours are not my style. That's ok though as in the scheme of things all colours can't be everyone's cup of tea.
Good morning Christina, I see what you mean, maybe a pair of sunglasses needed when first looking at today's card. That's an unusual AG paper, and I do like it so I'll keep popping back to see if I can grow to like it. X Ros
ReplyDeleteMorning Christina,
ReplyDeleteSo sorry but this one is not for me, but I do like the design its just the colours.

I like the card design and the yellow ribbon, but I would tone down the paper with a piece of vellum over it, thanks for showing us different things every once in a while Christina, variety is good.
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Christina. You know… I've been "noticing" yellow and black cards lately and this one is striking! Absolutely love it! I think it's because the black has a little lighter pattern on it. It breaks up the black just enough to allow the yellow to pop and do it's thing. Thank you so much for my "pretty fix" for today. Now I have to go and start my ironing. Enjoy a most beautiful day.
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful!! No need to tone down!
ReplyDeleteThis is fabulous Christina! I love how you used the dies and I love that design paper.
ReplyDeleteHi Christina beautiful card it's brilliant to see cards really different love the colours.

All cards are beautiful. This might not be everyone's cup of tea but it is still creative. I love it when you step outside the box.
ReplyDeleteIt may be bright but it's still a beautiful card.....the black ground paper so very well with the yellow ribbon.
