Pink Floral

Hi Everybody,

Todays card used more digital paper but these are some that I have had stored on my PC for years and I cannot remember where I got them from.

But there are spots, stripes and flourishes in many many colours and they all work together. I use them time and time again as they go so well with lots of things.

Here I have used spots and stripes and covered the join with ribbon and lace.  The card topper is from the Floriography CD that I showed you a few days ago.

It seems that many of you also have this CD and are frantically digging it out again to use it.

The die  I have used is Spellbinders  Lotus  and it has been around for years

Sadly this pretty die is no longer available to buy,  but you may find one that someone no longer uses and is selling it on.

The sentiment is from Phrases Two  by Spellbinders and the pretty flourish is the Flourish Trim and this is a really useful piece to add that little extra to your cards ... for about a fiver !!

More tomorrow ...

Hugs xx

  1. Your card today is another beauty. I've never used digital paper before but seeing you use it has me rethinking it. Do you go through a lot of ink? I really like the stripes, dots, etc. I also like the digital focal flower. I would also like to add that I love that you use dies that have retired, even if it isn't something I have in my stash. Most of us add to our die collection as often as we can but it takes time. Seeing you use older dies makes me feel less like I will never catch up. I can see the shape of the die you used and know I can substitute another die with similar shape or cut since I own an electronic die cutting machine too. My chouce may not be as perfect as the one you chose but by using an older die, you are basically saying we don't always have to use the newest trendy dies on our cards. Thank you for setting an example.

  11. Hi, Christina,
I hope that storm isn't headed your way, is it Abigail? It seems that it's always windy down here in the south-west lol.
Today's card is so pretty, I love the flower you chose for the topper. I don't think I have that particular DVD but I do have a couple of their other ones so I really should look through them now that I have a printer that is good quality and has separate inks, so much more economic to use :)

  14. Hi Christina,
Your card is gorgeous (as always), and I was wondering what kind of paper you print your digital papers on. I heard that cardstock took up too much ink, so now I'm at a loss at what to print on. I hope it isn't photo paper as that is just too expensive to use much of.
    Thanks,
    Shona P.
