Thank You Cards ...

Hi Everybody,

Here is an idea for a really inexpensive boxed gift set to give to some one and all it will cost you is a bit of ink, some card and a little time.

But think of the joy that some one will get when you give them this  as a gift for any occasion.

I made them in one batch session and they are all alike apart from the colours.

I used Distress Inks and the flower stamp from Spellbinders is called  My Friend

The sentiment is from My Favorite Things  and  there are four stamps on the sheet called Grand Greetings

I have stamped them in Black and then  heat embossed it with clear powder for a shiny effect  ... and this is less messy than embossing with black powder.

I used a new tool called the MISTI   ... Most Incredible Stamping Tool Invented  ... and it is a fabulous new toy.

I am in the process of putting together some video tutorials on the new Misti to show you some of the things you can do with this tool.

It is not cheap and it flies out of suppliers the minute it is back in stock so you need to be quick if you want one.

At the moment Oyster Stamps are taking pre orders for deliveries of the  MISTI   later this month so click the link to go to their website and take a look for yourself

I have made a box to hold the cards and included the envelopes to go with them and you could even include the stamps too for your recipient to send the cards to others

I think this is a very useful as well as pretty gift to give

More tomorrow ...

Hugs xx

  3. This is a wonderful idea and changing the sentiment would make this a very versatile gift. I'm thinking of my amazing sister in particular. She and her hubby of 46 years moved to Colorado after living in their home in California for 42 years. The need to move to be near their son came after her husband was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimers. It's been an adjustment and is heartbreaking. They left behind a lifetime of friends and family so the idea of a boxed set with "hello" or "Thinking of you" cards would be a gift she could use to stay in touch with those left behind. I love this idea so much. Thank you for sharing it. I haven't heard of the new MISTI tool but will check it out. Your cards are lovely.

  9. Yea, it's over here now, it is the best aid for stamping if you have problems with putting pressure onto the stamps. Your cards looks great and done in minutes which fantastic. Looking forward to see your videos. Just a note of caution the magnets are very strong and if they hit each other they can break. I now have four halves.!

  12. Hi Christina,
What a beautiful card set. The stamp is really pretty and has gone onto my wish list :). Ooh...you have a MISTI!! I've been wanting one ever since I first saw it on YouTube. Sadly though, I really can't afford to get one on my sickness benefit, even though I know that it would help my stamping so much. Hopefully one day it will become more reasonably priced (or I'll win the lottery and be able to get one lol).

  17. A brilliant idea Christina, and they looks so pretty! As for the MISTI, I would so love one myself .... but the price is so prohibitive for me too! :( Ah well .... perhaps at a later date if they drop the price a bit, it would be so useful to me with my problems! I don't think I have been good enough for Santa to bring me on! ;) lol!
