Gansai Tambi Water Colours

Hi Everybody,

The card today is a complete change from Christmas and it is one I really enjoyed water colouring.

I used the Japanese  Gansai Tambi  water colours from  Kuretake  and they are amazing.

This is another Christmas present from ME to ME and I was so surprised when they came in the post. !!  Honest I was !!

They are so creamy and the colours are very vibrant. A little goes along way so use them sparingly

There are 36 pans in the set that I bought with some lovely colours that can be used as pastls by adding in more water.

In this set there is  a Pure White, Gold, Bronze and Pearl and they sit at the bottom of the display

They can be mixed with any colour to give a really pretty look and of course you can mix any of them to create your own colours in a separate palette

The images is called  Big Shoes   from Mos Digital Pencil and  will cost  you $3 which is about £1.75.

It is with you instantly so with no postage costs I would call that a bargain.  Save it to your PC and you can use it time and time again.

I really enjoyed playing with these images and paints and I will be doing a lot more. I find it so relaxing to sit and colour with whatever medium I happen to have in hand

  7. Sounds like you have made a good buy Christina, I struggle with colouring in stamps so would love a tutorial on just how you do it, your work is just so amazing, my colours never blend like yours....This little card is so sweet, can see my daughter all those years ago doing this with my high heels, not that I can wear them anymore, but every little girl just loves to do it and this card depicts that perfect...superb....luv Ursula xx

  12. What a sweet card this is! You've done a fantastic job coloring and getting the highlights right. I was a bit late getting into the watercolor marker phase so I'm really just learning but look forward to being able to create cards with cute images in the future. Thank you for the inspiration.

  13. Hi Christina,
Here I am at last after getting soaked again going into town to pick up my meds, only to find out the surgery had only sent one of them through and, of course, the one they didn't send is the one I run out of on Saturday. It stopped raining when I got off the bus on the return journey...typical lol. Anyway, I always love seeing your coloured cards, I'm hopeless at colouring in so always appreciate seeing how it should be done properly :). I have the 18 pan set of the Gansai Tambi paints on my ever growing Amazon wish list and I hope to be able to get them in the new year...along with more boring things like a new hoover and tiles for the kitchen floor lol. The design is really pretty, as old as I am I can remember trying to walk in mum's high heels, brings back happy memories to be sure.
    Thanks for sharing with us.
