Floating Cup ...

Hi Everybody,

So todays project is one of the beautiful floating cups

I really enjoyed creating this and I used quite a lot of flowers on it and they are all from Wild Orchid Crafts

I add them with a hot glue gun so that won't fall off and then I add my glue and glitter to add the sparkle

The pearls string was wound around the flowers at the end and also glued in place.

The tea cup and saucer are from an old set that hasn't been used for years. Just sat in a cupboard gathering dust

You can pick these old tea sets up really cheaply in junk shops or car boot sales

It makes such a pretty display and is a real talking point as people want to know how it is done.

If you don't know how to make these and you  would like a video then please let me know and your wish will be my command.

There is an International Ambassadors Blog Hop tomorrow so the Tuesday Tutorial will be on Wednesday instead,
and  I may combine it with a water colour as well  ...  but it's only for this week ... back to normal next week

More tomorrow ...

Hugs xx

  22. Hi Christina, this is wonderful and I would love to see the video how you made this. We are celebrating my Mum's 80 birthday on Mothers Day this year, and we are having a tea party for her with close family and friends, so it would be wonderful if I could look at the video to see if I could make one so it would be the centre piece and talking point of a very special afternoon. Many thanks Grandmaw

This is just too spooky for words..why??? I've just finished making one this morning!!! It's great fun isn't it and even my sister was impressed. I think that yours is better than mine though, although for a first attempt I'm thrilled with the way mine came out :)

  27. Oh yes please Christina, a video would be most welcome! I have seen many pictures of this kind of thing and wondered how on earth it is done! Many thanks for sharing, and I do happen to have a rather pretty little tea set, which is never used, in fact it is still packed in a box, from when I moved house in 2009! Sooooo, time to un-pack it methinks! lol! Your project here is so very pretty and effective!
