Thank you all for your feedback on my new style videos and they have had a real mixed response. Some like it and others don't but a lot of people say they didn't like the music. So in this one I have toned it down to a more gentle tune.
I won't be doing all the videos like this just the occasional one with a quick card. It keeps things fresh and interesting to change them around a little. I am very flattered that many of you like the sound of my voice (I hate it)
There have recently been a lot of new border dies from the wonderful Becca Feeken and they are all intricate and a pleasure to work with .
And so I thought that a video was in order to show you how I made this really pretty card
This link Spellbinders Graceful Fans will take you through to the video and the steps needed to make this top card.
I hope you enjoy this new style video more
The bright gold card is part of a pack from Craft Stash and it gives a real luxury look to the white card and it is easy to cut
The ribbon I already had in my supplies and I used it to create the double bow.
So there are a couple more ideas using the exact same items just arranging them in a different way each time
The way I tie the bow is shown in the video Tying A Bow and it is quite easy to do.
Once you get to play with these dies I am sure that you will come up with lots more ideas for yourself.
But as you can see they are very versatile and the gold card sets them off beautifully
More tomorrow ...
Hugs xx
Morning Christina, two absolutely gorgeous cards off to check out your new video.

What a beautiful die mind you it would look pretty ordinary if you didn't show us wonderful things to do with it, love the cards
ReplyDeleteI purchased Becca Freeken's entire collection of border dies and have been so happy I did. The fan border is a favorite and your cards are fantastic! I enjoyed the video and even though you aren't speaking, you do take it slow enough to be able to follow your steps. I have seen videos where they move really fast and you can't catch all steps unless you stop and start. I also liked the music better.
ReplyDeleteI've seen your bow tying videos before but watched them again for a brush up. I have bow tying tools but being able to create a quick bow with just your ribbon and hands, is always helpful. Thank you, Christina!
Three lovely cards Christina. I like how you have used the die and the different look to each card
ReplyDeleteGreat cards, loved the video & really like the "new style "- music is much better, less distracting.
ReplyDeleteMichele

Lovely cards today. Becca Feeken will be in our area shortly at a store I have been visiting (with I could join her). I too hate the sound of my own voice when listening to a recording but I do love to hear the explanation on a card video. So much nicer to hear someone chat with me. Dianne
ReplyDeleteLove the cards you have produced Christina and love your videos. Thanks for the tutorials. Kind regards Anne Owens xxx
ReplyDeleteThe cards are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards. I do not have those borders but I do have others and did not really know what to do with them so I will give this a try. You are full of ideas and a great library for card makers.
ReplyDeleteThe music on this one is perfect. You might not like your voice but now you are assured that, we as students, are in love with it's sweetness and gentleness.
Now we will be in for a twofold surprise: music or voice and a beautiful card.
Hi Christina
ReplyDeleteLove these elegant cards. Love the borders. Thanks for sharing.
Very very pretty cards Christina, have also just re-watched your bow tying videos, you make it so easy, been sitting here doing it along with you and they are just beautiful...thank you again...luv Ursula xx
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely love the colour. Your videos are so helpful. Thanks for all you do for us. Diana
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Christina- I will need to look at this video. These cards are gorgeous . They are just beautiful & elegant. Great colors. Thank you for sharing with us.
ReplyDeleteLove both these cards and the video. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteHi, Christina,
ReplyDeleteI love the different cards you've made with this die set. I've not bought many new dies recently but I think this one is going to go on my list :).
Well done on the video...I still love your commentary more than the music though lol.

very beautiful cards. The music was much better, but I think something a little softer would be better.
ReplyDeleteWho would have thought to use a fan card base to make several beautiful yet different cards! i never would...so glad you are here with ideas!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards Christina. Haven't watched video fully yet but the music is so much better today. Had to turn volume off on your last one!!!!
ReplyDeleteMust also watch your bow video as I'm always struggling to get them right.
Xx
Yes fully agree with you that the fans need the gold card to set them off.....it's a great die - hurray for Becca!
ReplyDeleteI've also used patterned paper and it was quite nice but I prefer the gold....thanks for sharing the cards....love them all.
