First an apology for my absence this week but I have not been well. I am having a problem with my left hip and on Tuesday I went to get an X-Ray to see what the problem is.
And then I was climbing on a chair to clean some glass shelves and I have twisted my right knee so at the moment I am in a bad place.
I know !! I know !! .... I shouldn't have been climbing on chairs, my daughter has told me off in no uncertain terms, but the shelves really needed cleaning and so up onto the chair I went.
At present it is difficult getting up and down stairs but I will be fine again soon.
Buy my second apology goes to Stacey Kowbel, who won last weeks Friday Freebie, because I have been unable to post it to you as yet. But it is here and I will get it to you as soon as I can. I am so sorry xx
On to this weeks winner and the name that has been drawn today is ...

please don't be silly with climbing. balance is one of those things that goes before you realize it. then poof your on the ground or something, gravity wins! I hope the hip and knee heal quickly. if surgery is in the future don't worry. that heals fast and you'll be back on the horse soon. good luck.

Oh dear Christina, yes, I agree you should not be climbing on a chair, an accident waiting to happen, do you not have a small set of ladders. I know from the past so easy to do, so got myself ladders, altho not keen on climbing up anyway. Hope you are soon on the mend and back to your usual happy self...take care, lotsa love, Ursula xx
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Anne!

ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you've been in the wars - take care and I hope you soon recover. Try to keep chairs for sitting and some steps for reaching things!!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Christina I am chuffed, I am in no hurry to receive this prize just get better Christina and don’t be going to the post office, I have messaged you my details. I hope you heal soon, and thank you for keeping us all going with your motivation especially during this lockdown. Stay safe stay well. Love Anne Owens xx
ReplyDeleteI hope you heal quickly, Christina. A cortisone shot in the knee might help. I fell a couple of years ago and fractured one wrist and sprained the other. That seemed to start problems with arthritis. I'd never had any problems arthritis till I fell. I was already having a knee problem and could barely walk on that knee. Since I started receiving cortisone shots in my knee and both wrists I have no pain there. It's not really cortisone..it's a long medical name, but everyone calls it cortisone. I get the shots every 3 months and I call them my miracle shots. :) Whether you try that or not, I hope your dr. can give you something to help with the pain.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, Anne Owens!

DeleteCongratulations Anne. Christina, I understand your family concerns but as long as you use the right equipment to climb age should not limit you. It's a shame you twisted awkwardly but this can happen to anyone. Wishing you a speedy recovery.
ReplyDeleteThank you everyone I am chuffed I have won a wonderful prize, thanks again Christina you do so much for everyone, it’s awful when you can’t get around I hope you are not in too much pain, I will say a prayer for you. Love Anne Owens xxx
ReplyDeleteHello Christina,
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about your problems and the way to make it easier to climb stairs is to go up with your best leg first, and down with your bad leg first, but as you've hurt your left hip and right leg I'm flummoxed as to which you should use for what!! Get Better Soon is the best advice I can give you and don't climb on chairs - says she who does the same thing!!
Congratulations Anne, it's a useful set.

Just seen your blog Christina- its been a busy weekend. I hope by now you are getting better. Like a lot of the other comments- I know the feeling! I find going up stairs much easier if I sit down and work my way up!. Getting down isn't a problem. Your daughter sounds like mine. They just want to keep us safe but I find not being independent frustrating. LOL Take care - love and a hug xx
