Hi Everybody,
I have just come from the vets and I am so happy to say that Ruby’s eyes are much improved. She still has a way to go yet before they are fully healed but at least there was no mention of operations for her. I have to keep on with the two different types of drops for her eyes and take her back in two weeks and hopefully she will be all clear by then.
Another piece of news is that I have been given an appointment to have the knee replacement operation on my right knee on the 18th of March. I will need to self isolate for two weeks prior to the operation and have a COVID test three days before. I am hoping that by the summer I will be able to walk properly again without pain and take Ruby on a lovely long walk.
More tomorrow...
Hugs xx
Oh wow - today is a real Red Letter Day - super fantastic!! So delighted for you both. Big hug for Ms Ruby.
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Christina :) Sooooo relieved to hear Miss Ruby is improving! That's great news. I have so many relatives that have had knee replacement surgery and they all have said they didn't know why they didn't have it done sooner. They are all doing very well. I wish you the same and a speedy recovery, as well. Big Hugs. xo
ReplyDeleteChristina that is wonderful news. Thank goodness for the great medical advances.
ReplyDeleteTake care of both of you.
Best wishes

So glad that she doesn't have to have an operation and am sure she will be back to her normal self in no time now. So glad you now know when you are going to have your replacement knee operation so hopefully it will be onwards and upwards from then. Meanwhile take care and stay safe. Big hug for you and big cuddle for Ruby, Jenny C xxx

ReplyDeleteSo good to hear. I have had both knees replaced. My advice- do the physical therapy and you will be walking with Ruby soon
ReplyDeleteGreat to hear that both of you will soon be well. I had to take my cat to an ophthalmologist for animals a few years back. I didn't even know they had ophthalmologists for animals. She got drops also. Vets are wonderful! So glad to hear you're finally getting your knee replaced. Was there a reason why it took so long to schedule? Anyway, best of luck to you, Christina, and I hope the surgery has you walking and climbing stairs again in no time.

I am so happy to hear that Ruby is doing well and I am grateful to your doctor's that you will soon be able to fix that troublesome knee. You hang in there kiddo -- and give a gentle hug to Ruby from my babies: Greta and Spats (the evil cat) and me, Kathy O.
ReplyDeleteso glad to hear rubty is improving Yay! also glad to hear you are preparing for surgery in march. i've had both of my knees replaced. the best advise i have for you is to make sure and do all of the exercises and physical therapy that you can. especially when you don't want to. you think that you will but having someone check up to be sure your doing them is a good idea. sometimes we get lazy-bored and don't want to. we sond like a child when we say "i'm tired, i don't want to waa waa waa" but that is the key for a good recovery. ps i'm still playing tennis (doubles only). but that was my goal. the problems that i have heard of are from those that didn't follow the exercise routine. keep us posted.
ReplyDeleteWow Christina, what wonderful news on your knee op date and little Ruby's eyes being so much better. Great to hear good news for a change. I pray your op will go well and that you will only look forward from then on and start out on a 'normal' life again....luv Ursula xx
ReplyDeleteGood news on both fronts!
ReplyDeleteMarch l8 will be here before you know it!
