Out of all the cards I have added in the past week this one has to be my favourite. It's pink ... it's floral ... and it's big.
It didn't start life this big, but as I was putting it all together I came to the part where I needed to add the flowers, and I realised at that point that I had added it to the base card Upside Down .... what a plonker !!
I had to cut the back off the card and add the front to a much larger base to make it the right way round.
So while I was doing that I added in lots more pink and white layers.
The spotty background to this card is Foiled and on top I have added the verse stamped on an oval. I also lined the inside of all last weeks cards and I forgot to mention that to you.
Beautiful card Christina. Think maybe most of us have done something like that in our card-making lives. I know I have.
ReplyDeleteLovely card , glad you rescued it! Congrats to the winner.

Good Morning Christina. What a lovely card. And no you are not a " Plonker " I wonder ... if everyone told the truth ... how many of us have done this in the past ... I know I have ... so I know the feeling. But these are happy accidents. And some time they turn out the best. Thankyou Christina. Sending hugs 🤗 and best wishes to everyone.
ReplyDeletePLEASE KEEP STAYING SAFE 🙏 🙏 🙏
Kind regards Ann Toppcards in Leeds.
I think we all have those 'oops' moments when we realise we've made an 'Australian' card as I call them. This was well rescued and your final result is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely stunning 😍
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely day Christina love Sue xx
We all have those moments of putting our creations on to the card incorrectly but the finished article is beautiful. Loraine Long

Like you, sometimes (and in my case rarely), I make a card that I just love, love, love and don't want to part with it. Sounds like this one you made, despite all the challenges is one of those. I think it is lovely and even more so because you did what I frequently do -- add the sentiment upside down and sideways and have to figure out a way to salvage it all. Love your honesty. It's nice to know that even a pro makes boo boo's from time to time. Give a big doggie hug to Ruby for me.
ReplyDeleteLove you.

So beautiful! I always call them 'happy mistakes!
ReplyDeleteHi Christina. I have done that as well, putting elements upside down and having to remount the card onto another base. Those cards become heavy yet worth the work.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great feeling when you know you got a winner in your hands.
This one is beautiful on photo. I imagine that it is amazing in person with all the details
What a beautiful mistake! This was a more "Christina" card with flowers, bling, and a butterfly..absolutely gorgeous. I love big cards, by the way..love all of your layers.

ReplyDeleteHi Christina
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful card it turned out to be and perhaps has turned out better than what you planned for the original. Happy accident springs to mind. Hope little Ruby is managing to cope and be okay in this unbearably hot weather. Take care and cuddles for the little lady
Hugs and best wishes
