Hello Everyone,
But my mum takes me out early in the day or later to avoid the heat and that is much better for me.
We always take lots of water with us so that I can have a little drink every so often
The other week when we went to Lytham we saw a family of ducks on the water and I was really quiet so as not to frighten them.
I really wanted to get into the water with them, coz you know I love to swim. But my mum wouldn't let me jump in. There was another little black fella there and he wanted to get in as well and his mum wouldn't let him either.
Anyway once we get home I can have a snooze. I have a Cool Mat and it is lovely to lie on that for a while until tea time and then I can go for another little jaunt with my mum.
Bye for now
Love Ruby xx
Amazing what you can come across when out for a walk!!
ReplyDeleteI thought that was two dogs in the boat. Lol Sooo cute. I think Ruby and Dougal should have a boat like that so they can ride around the lake. Maybe Dougal would be okay with that as he wouldn't actually be in the water.
ReplyDeleteRuby, I'm glad you had such a wonderful day. I live in Florida, USA, and we're normally roasting at this time, but other than two days we've had rain here for weeks, so it's kept the temp down. The highs have been mid to upper 80s and one or two days at 90. I think the weatherman is predicting lower to mid 90s this week, though. I'm not looking forward to that.
Ruby, I hope you and your mum have a great week. Stay cool.

Teddies rowing - what a lot of fun !!! It is much too hot for dogs - lucky Ruby to have a cool mat to lie on!
ReplyDeleteHello sweet Ruby, I know when it's hot it's not good for you and all your furry friends. Our Barney doesn't like it either. I bet you love laying on your cool mat to feel more comfortable. It's going to be a lot more comfortable this next week so it will be better for you. It's lovely to hear from you again. Be a good girl and look after your mum.
ReplyDeleteBig cuddles from me and tail wags from Barney, hugs Jenny C xxx
Oh Ruby, what a very lucky fella you are to be able to go for walks with you wonderful mum and enjoy all the things that are going on. Fancy seeing the boat with the bears in, what a lovely surprise. I really enjoy your comings and goings and look forward to reading what you are up to.
ReplyDeleteTake care little one.
Best wishes to you and your mum from Margaret, Nelson, New Zealand.
Hi Ruby, how lovely to see the Teddy Bears out boating, good that you didn't jump in.
ReplyDeleteA cool mat just sounds perfect for you to cool down and be comfortable. Lovely to hear your news, Kate x
Sounds like little Ruby lives the life of Riley....quite content, has you wrapped around her 'finger' Christina....luv Ursula xx
ReplyDeletehi ruby, what fun seeing the bears out. what a fun idea for a remote ... a boat. good to hear you didn't scare them. we have been having it hot too. tell us a bit more about your cool mat. maybe i can talk my people into getting me one. i have a kennel a cot, a super "cave" (it's under a chair in a hidden area of the computer room). i'm sure i could upgrade one of them with a cool mat. talk to you later. obi
ReplyDeleteI love these stories Christina. Now keep in mind I am a mega senior citizen, but your travels with Ruby bring me back to a time when I was a little girl and I would snuggle in the old wing back chair on our sun porch on a very hot summer afternoon and read about the Bobbsey twins or Nancy Drew. Makes me feel like a little kid all over again. I love this story about the teddy bears. Do you live in a never never land? It all sounds just too too wonderful. Thanks for sharing and I love the butterfly card. Will comment on that later, but first you know I had to comment about our Ruby and you. Thank you sweetie and hope you have a cooler remainder of the week.
ReplyDeleteA fun walk today Ruby. You're a lucky little dog having such lovely places to walk. My little dog- Tigger - lives only a 5 min. walk from the Cleveland hills and the countryside so he is lucky too. He is nervous of big dogs so I have to be careful if I see one coming towards him but he loves people and children. I guess your mum and me are lucky to have each of you. Be good xxx
ReplyDeleteLol, how adorable! It's warm here, too, and I'm definitely looking forward to some cooler weather.
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Miss Ruby! How stinkin' cute are the bears in the boat! What another lovely day you and your Mum were able to enjoy. I'm so happy you have a cool place to rest. I wonder if Mum ever lets you run in the sprinklers while watering the grass? That would be a lot of fun. I used to do that as a little girl. And frankly, if no one was looking, I would still do it at 67! We're expecting another week of 80's and 90's (f) along with some rain. Love the rain, but NOT the humidity. Stay cool Little One. It's always a pleasure to hear from you. Hugs to You and Mum. Enjoy your day. xo
ReplyDeleteI love hearing from Ruby xx
