Both of these cards are A6 size with the fold at the top and both have flowers one them that are made from handmade paper design. using Distress Oxides.
I have used up any bit and pieces I could find on my desktop and they are items that are left over from other projects.
The leaves are cut from an old Creative Expressions die set and I hand coloured them also.
The sentiment strips have been sat in a tub just waiting to be used and I have added them with thin strips of foam tape to raise them up.
Both cards have been splattered in gold and the one to the right is added to a gold edged oval shape
The card to the left has an embossed panel underneath the flowers and that was an old folder called Hedgehog Maze from Couture Creations.
But it is so old that I don't know if it will be available anymore so just use any that you already have in your collections.
This is just an idea that you may like to try so that applies to any part of this card ... flowers, leaves, folders, sentiments or splatters simply use what you have already got, it doesn't have to be the same as mine
Bye for now ...
Hugs xx
Morning - both of these cards look very pretty. You certainly got your money’s worth out of your birthday didn’t you. Sounds like you had a whale of a time. Good for you. Forget the diet and waddle around like the rest of us!!! Janet Boyne
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Christina and all that visit today. Lovely Lovely cards this morning Christina ... And I just love those leaves. I don't have these but when I first started crafting .... spellbinders and Sue Wilson were on the scene ... And as we do I just went for it. So I do have lots of leaves and spray leaves that I should really dig out and give them an airing. Thankyou Christina for more beautiful cards.
ReplyDeleteSending hugs 🤗 and best wishes to everyone. Please stay safe and well 🙏
Kind regards Ann Toppcards in Leeds

Hi Christina, I like that you manage to use up so much of your ‘leftover’ bits ~ I always save them but rarely use them. They never seem to be right for what I’m doing so I create more bits! I’m going to try to be stricter with myself and do what you do. Take care. Hugs, Maggie Coleman xx
ReplyDeletePleased you enjoyed your birthday Christina. Lovely cards . Flowers are really nice , like the colours. Joyce Jennings x
ReplyDeleteI have some flowers and leaves dies but hardly use them as the focal point of a card, mostly used as part of the embellishments. Great idea here. Thanks for the inspiration!
