Thank you so much for all the lovely comments and good wishes you all sent to me on the news of my trip to Phoenix. I am so excited about this trip and I am all packed and ready to go already.
Yesterday I was asked a question about the new Labels Thirty Nine from Spellbinders
(Click the links to view the die sets)
This label has matching elements that go with it and the question I was asked was do you need to buy all three sets.
Well the answer is no you don't need to buy all of them as they all work independently of each other and with any other dies that you may have
Spellbinders number the dies with #1 being the smallest
To make the card I have used the largest #5 from the basic Labels Thirty Nine and cut it twice
One of them I have scored about 2 cms down on the widest part and glued the two together along this crease to form the base
I have cute the largest #4 from the Labels Thirty Nine - Decorative Elements
Using other sizes from the both sets I have layered them together with foam tape to give some depth.
It is a quick and easy card to make and these two sets work really well to create the card.
If you wanted to you could add theses elements to a larger card and change the orientation for another look
But it is a size that fits perfectly onto a card stand and can be displayed by your recipient.
I hope that goes a little way to answering the question and if I was pushed then I would have to say that these two sets would be my choice
The butterflies have been very kindly sent to me ... from many of you ... in response to my statement that I had run out of them.
I have added in flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts
They have been sparkled with Glitter Magic
The round sentiment is from Lili of the Valley
The pearl flourish is from Want2Scrap
More tomorrow ...
Hugs xx

Hi Christina
ReplyDeleteAnother stunning card today. I like how Spellbinders do the basic shape and then do a decorative elements to compliment that basic shape.
Good Morning, Christina.
ReplyDeleteWow...I seem to be first off the block today. I really love this card and I'm learning that if you can only afford a few dies, rather than get some fancy shape that may only be used a couple of times, it's better to save up and get a few sets of the Spelbinders labels collections. I've managed to find an online outlet that has some really good prices (which is essential for me as I'm on long term sickness benefit and have next to no spare cash), and I'm trying to get one set a month...I've even got the flower making dies on my wish list as I've found them on sale for under a tenner!!
Once again, have a safe journey and a fun filled trip. x
Hi Bejay, can you possibly share where you get your dies? I'm also on a low budget so would appreciate knowing where to get reasonably priced things! Thanks :-)
DeleteLovely card as usual, I love the die you have used.

This card and your photos really show the beauty of these dies! Congratulations on the trip to Spellbinders! They are lucky to have you showing their products to us. BethAnn M.
ReplyDeleteHi Christina, many many congratulations for now being the Ambassador for Spellbinders. I often wondered why you were not on TV or asked before. Your Tutorials are the very best of the many I have watched from other crafting sites. You don't waste time waving your hands about and chatting at the start of them. You show us the card and the dies and get straight down to explaining as you teach. You explain and demonstrate perfectly. Just love the way you do it. There is no turning off the demo as I do with other sites. Well done, truly deserved. One problem, when you return I will be wanting the dies you will return with! All good wishes XX
ReplyDeleteA real pretty card, with such wonderful advice I think many of us will go along this route....thanks Christina....luv Ursula xx
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful is your card xx
ReplyDeleteVery pretty dies and love your arrangement with them!
ReplyDeleteAnother gorgeous card as usual. Thanks for sharing.

Great looking card and the advice your gave using the die cut was great too
ReplyDeleteThanks Christina
Christina, wow another beauty. Thanks so much for answering my question. As much as I would love to have every set, you have to build up slowly, so now I know how to "use" them together I can make better selections. Thanks again, I see why you are Spellbinders Ambassador. Take Care.
ReplyDeleteBetter late than never, this card is so very pretty, and would be loved by the reciprient . The flowers are the icing on the cake for me. I am going to have to try using dried flowers as they look so lovely.
