Amongst other things that I have been trying lately, such as the decorated glass and altering bottles, I have also tried my hand at Acrylic Paint Pouring.
I know it has been around along long time but I have been a bit slow on the uptake.
This was the first piece I did and it's not very good or very big and I did it on some thick A4 card as a practice run.
But then I decided to cut it up and make cards with it and see how they turned out.
This one is created from the right hand side of the painting and I cut it down to a 5x7"
I used some of the words from the new
for the greeting because some of them are female names as well as the month, April, May, June or the anniversary Pearl, Ruby. Coral.
The left hand side of the painting I cut out with the Heart from the Spectacular Swirl die set and again used the words.
I can't say I am unhappy with either of them and I have now progressed to a bigger canvas to paint on.
I will show you my progress over the coming weeks and I will be videoing them too.
More tomorrow ...
Hugs xx
The pain pouring backgrounds look great-it’s not something I’ve tried.

ReplyDeleteYou really did a beautiful pour. I really love the embellishments you made in it. The leaf and the crosshatching are very nice additions. I like that you used paper too. Inspirational.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful x
ReplyDeleteHello Christina,
ReplyDeleteThere's always some piece or pieces of the card which look good when cut down to make a card and yours are lovely. Sometimes it's a shame to cover the finished result and the cards you've made are ideal.

I haven't tried it either, but I like your results, Christina.

ReplyDeleteI watched some videos not long ago but I never tried the paint pouring backgrounds. You'll get each and every time a different result even if you use same colors. Thanks for sharing.

ReplyDeleteGood Morning Christina. Ohhh how I wish this had been published two weeks ago. Some time ago I bought some tubes of acrylic paint from our pound shop...they got put in a drawer and never resurfaced. Then after Christmas I had a clear out and in the bin they went ......now I wish I had kept them ....I just might get some more now... Thankyou. Sending hugs and best wishes to everyone. Kind regards Ann Toppcards Leeds
