Another Way to use Pages

 Hi Everybody,

For this card I have again used the Pretty Book pages but I have added them in a different way to my card.

Here I have adhered two pages in different patterns so that one overlaps the other. The top page has the detailed layer and both have been added at an angle.

The sentiment is added to the bottom of the card and the flowers placed in three areas and glittered.

The dark green leaves have been added behind the blooms.

If you look carefully at the designer card underneath it has little feet on it  and so would be an excellent choice for a baby card .... but my brain wasn't working when I made this and so it is a birthday card instead.

It is a 5x7 size and the fold as always is at the top and the mix of Mulberry flowers have ben added with a glue gun.

This card has the matching box to it and that is another older die set.

I added decoration to each of the pages on this book and I also created a stand for it which fits inside the box at the same time.

Pretty Book Collection Card, Box & Stand

 Hi Everybody,   

This is an older card that I made some time ago but I am including it again because it has the tutorial to go with it for both making the card and then the box and stand.

Together they make a lovely gift for someone's special occasion  and if you have the dies then they are easy to make.

It is beautiful in any colour you choose and you can add any flowers to this that you may already have.

I have added the bookmark to the centre and threaded it fist with ribbon.

Pretty Book Pages

 Hi Everybody,

The card to the right is created using a really old die set from Card Making Magic called the
Pretty Book.

It makes the base shape for you and then you can add as many pages to your book as you would like 

I have also used the filigree pattern for the top page and then added in extra butterflies and some Mulberry flowers.

I have glittered the flowers and added gemstones to the body lines of the butterflies

There is also the addition of a decorative hat pin that can just be seen on the left side of this card.

The centre book mark has been threaded with blue ribbon and a small bow glued to the top.

This card is a birthday version but on my YouTube Channel in the Pretty Book Playlist you will find wedding and Baby Card version as well.

Pretty Book Collection

Hi Everybody,

For todays card I have used the Additions set to the Pretty Book Collection. and made some A6 sized cards

I have coloured the flowers with inks and blending brushes and added them at varying heights on top of the diamond shapes.

The bow has been cut and shaded with inks and then I have used some Accent Glaze and sprinkled it with glitter. 

You will need to leave it on one side to dry or the glaze will smudge if you catch it.

The sentiment and banner are also form the set and that has been added with foam pads underneath to raise it up over the edge of the flowers.

This card has been created using the same dies I have just added them to my base card in an alternative pattern way making each one look a little different.

They could have any sentient added and that would alter the occasion for which he card is given. 

Both have been added to the Trellis embossing folder background and the card to the left has been lightly brushed over with some pink ink left over on my blending brush.

The Missing Videos.

 Hi Everybody,

I am adding in the videos from the Pretty Book Collection that I have had to remove to get things working again and hopefully there wont be  a problem this time around Fingers crossed tightly and thank you for your help in checking things out with the buttons. It is very much appreciated, but you know what I am scared to try adding stuff in again in case it all goes pear shaped again ...                         

I shall wait with bated breath to see if everything is ok again and if it is then I hope you will enjoy the videos again.

Pretty Book Collection - Wedding Card

Hi Everybody,

 ,

Here is the Wedding Card  that I wanted to make and I really enjoyed putting this one together.

The Centura Pearl card just adds that little bit of shine to my projects and by alternating it with the matt white side it makes for a really pretty look.

I found the Tulle/Voile in my cupboards the last time I had a clean up and so I was putting it to good use on this project. 

This time, to show a different way to display the card, instead of using the Easel stand I have made a complete card to add it too.

 I have used the dies from the set and an A4 piece of card that has been folded in half, which is perfect if you don't have the Rose Easel Stand in your stash.

For my American visitors A4 is almost the same as your letter size, just fold it in half the same way as shown in the video.

 

The video is not too long,  but you will have time to enjoy a cuppa while you watch. 

I really hope you enjoy it and, if you have the dies, that you will give this style a try.

Pretty Book Collection - Birthday Card

 Hi Everybody,

I am happy to add a new video today featuring the brand new Pretty Books Collection and this one is all about the Birthday Card itself.

This will make a fabulous design for any occasion and it is one that can really be dressed up to your hearts content.

It would be super special for Weddings and that is going to be the subject of one of the videos that I have planned.

But the next video I have planned  will be "Live" on Monday, and in that one I will show you how I created the stand to display this beautiful card on and the matching box that will hold both items for you to give .

They look such intricate cards but they really are the easiest to make and the dies do all the work for you. The hardest part for you is to decide what occasion you are making it for and the choice of colours you would like to use. 

Then you can sit back and enjoy all the Oooohs and Aaaahs you will get from the lucky person that you give this creation too.

Pretty Book Collection

Hi Everybody,

This Pretty Book is to celebrate someone's Birthday and I have created lots of layers and added embellishments to each one. 

There is so much in this brand new collection,  and the additions dies that match, that you can ruing the changes as often as you like. 

Here is a closer look at the layers to the pages and I have used other parts of the dies to add the extra to the pages. 

You can add as many pages to your book as you like and make them for any occasion were you need a really special card.

I used the centre book mark part to thread ribbon through it as a beautiful addition to my book pages and I am very happy with the result.

You will  need to create a box to add this design too as the depth will make it difficult to get into an envelope.

You can leave the design as a book or you can add the whole lot to a card base.  

You could  make a card stand for it and that will also fit inside the box making it the perfect way to display the card

I have lined the inside of my box using the same die sets and that strengthens the box as well as giving a lovely professional touch.

For a card as special as this one it is worth going that little extra, especially if this is for a Wedding Card or New Baby.

In fact any of those occasions where something extra is needed for your recipient
