This sounds like a rant and I really don't mean it too ... but as you know I have started to do a "Friday Freebie"
And so far over the last two weeks I have offered two cards to be given away.
On both occasions I have had to chase up the winners to claim the card and last weeks winner Kiwi, has still not come forward.
This is the card that was on offer last Friday and the winners name was announced on the Saturday morning.
I added a reminder on Facebook for the winner to come forward and claim the prize and still had no response and so I am sorry Kiwi ... but you missed the boat.
If you add your name and/or comment to any of my "Give Aways" then surely it is up to you to come back and check if you have won.
I have drawn another name from the hat so that this card can go before another Friday Freebie card is shown.
The new owner of this card is you ... Norah McPhee and you need to email me with your land address so that I can get the card in the post to you..... christina@card-making-magic.com
There will be another card on offer in the morning. But as a final request can I ask please that if you add your name then check the winners list and let me know where you are, if you are the winner, as soon as you can.
The responsibility is yours to check and not mine to chase you. I will wait for 48 hours and then it will be too late ... the prizes on offer will go to someone else.
More tomorrow ...
Hugs xx
I always check to see if I am the lucky winner. One day fingers crossed. Your cards are just beautiful, and I love watching your videos, they give me so many ideas. Thank you
ReplyDeleteIt's a beautiful card and well done to the winner. I think 48 hrs is plenty enough time to claim.
ReplyDeleteHi Christina
ReplyDeleteThis seems to happen a lot on different sites I enter my challenge pieces into as people just don't check.
I feel you can only put it in a message like you did today as if they are following you it will come up in their notifications.
Some people don't check all their notifications so they wouldn't know they have been the lucky winner. I love your cards and you have given me some great inspiration. I am on 3 design teams myself and always see your notifications.
They also may have their notifications turned off in this case they will not receive them.
Please visit my blog if you have time, I would love you to join.

Good morning Christina, no rant ...... quite right BUT can I tell you what I think!!!
ReplyDeleteI for one am not lucky and actually don't enter many things. However I am sure others enter with the thought that "it won't be me" ....... so they never check back.
I my opinion better not to enter at all rather than cause you hassle.
Rant over from me!!
Once again another stunning card, love everything about it
Beautiful colour combo and great use of the wonderful Dies
Have a great day
Patricia xx
Hi Christina, I agree 100% with you. It's so kind of you to give away your cards as a Friday Freebie and then mail it to the winner wherever she/he lives. You are generous and thoughtful. What you did is fair and square. I am praying hard that I will be the winner coming this Friday. Thank you
ReplyDeleteChang Alison
Sounds fair enough. .Kiwi's loss Norah's gain. .Congrats
ReplyDeleteRegards from Israel

well good for you Christina for speaking your mind... don't be put off by one inconsiderate person..xx
ReplyDeleteI agree...people should check back.not up to you to "chase" them.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you Chistina, you really shouldn't have to chase at all.
ReplyDeleteSounds fair enough to me Christina
ReplyDeleteSeems fair enough to me Christina if it isn't claimed in 48 hours pick another winner. It is such a pretty card.
ReplyDeleteI agree Christina, I always check back on anything I have entered. Their loss and it gives someone else a chance too. xxx
ReplyDeleteI totally agree Christina. It is up to to us to check back if we have entered one of your give-aways. Don't stress about it. They are the losers, and this time Norah got a second bite at the cherry. Thank you for your generosity in offering these gorgeous things to us! Hugs Christine xx
ReplyDeleteGood for you Christina! Your cards are lovely (having purchased a few I know that for a fact) and anyone should be pleased (as punch) to be the lucky winner of one of them. Absolutely fair I say, happy international happiness day xx
ReplyDeletearrr and that is such a lovely card xx
ReplyDeleteSounds very fair. It is so nice of you to create these beautiful cards and give them away each week.
ReplyDeleteI don't think she's being inconsiderate. . If she bothered to enter she obviously wanted to win...maybe her computer is down. Maybe she's sick or something. Who knows, give her the benefit of the doubt this time and Christina keep up the good work we really do appreciate your efforts and hard work, you're very kind.
ReplyDeleteI too agree with you Christina, if I'm going to caravan for the weekend I will not post a comment, in case I win, as I don't thing it's fair for you to chase anyone, so hope I win one before I start going lol xxxx
ReplyDeleteYou are right. It is up to us to check if we won anything. I don't get it anyway.I check out your blog every day because of your beautifull cards. Even if there is no chance of winning anything.
ReplyDeleteHugs Marianne
You are right Christina. If we put our names to the list then it's up to us to see if we are a winner. It doesn't take long to email you with our address. Your cards are lovely and I would be so thrilled if my name came out. Beryl xx
ReplyDeletePersonally I think that if you are kind enough to make the offer, the VERY LEAST people can do is take the time to check and then contact you. I would LOVE to win one of your cards as I NEED that inspiration and I think seeing one 'in the flesh' would make all the difference to me….so…next time if someone doesn't reply…JUST SEND IT TO ME!!!! lol xx I can assure you that I would appreciate it xx
ReplyDeletealways check and I love your cards so don't stop doing because one day I might win lol regards EDwina
ReplyDeleteI'd agree with everyone else. It's up to the participant to check. One thing.... where can we find your email address?
ReplyDeleteNot a rant at all Christina... I agree whole heartedly with you, it should not be your responsibility to chase people up for something that is given generously and FREE!
ReplyDeleteA redraw after 48hrs is very fair and what a shame you would have to do that anyway.
Their loss I say,on being the owner of a gorgeous card!
Quite right Christina. No point in giving cards away as you are if people are only visiting once a week for the freebie. We can all miss a day, (I regularly lose an odd day) but you are right, move on to the next name. Norah will enjoy your card, she is a busy lady just now.
ReplyDeleteJanice W
Hi Christine, I agree with you, it's up to the entrants to check if they are the lucky winner, your cards are beautiful, and hopefully I might be a winner one of these days. Sue xx
ReplyDelete48 hrs sounds fair to me i always get your posts twice once on facebook and also in my email so pick me i wont miss it ...lol Congrats Norah
ReplyDeleteChristina, I totally agree with you. 48 hours is enough. I come to check and see if I have won. It hasn't happened for me yet, but I have my fingers crossed that one day I will be the winner of one of your gorgeous cards.
ReplyDeletePlease don't get frustrated, Christina. I am sure that the majority of us followers treasure your absolutely beautiful cards. I hope the previous two incidents won't deter you from offering your gorgeous cards in future giveaways. Wish I could be a lucky winner one day!
ReplyDeleteHi Christina,
ReplyDeleteYou definitely shouldn't have to chase up the winner....you do all the hard work of making a fabulous card for us to have the chance of winnin, plus the work on the blog and then the cost of making and posting the card. So if people can't be bothered to check if they are a winner then it's their loss. I can't understand why people add their name and then don't bother to check on the specified date....unless they are poorly of course. 48 hrs seem very reasonable to me too.
Congratulations Norah.
Love Sheila xx
Beautiful card Christina!!! I believe you are right to choose another winner and that you certainly shouldn't have to chase anyone down, you are a busy woman!!!! Even if that person has health issues or an emergency that week you still have to move on... so yeah I would do just what you are doing! Have a fantastic day, hugs
ReplyDeleteI always check my e-mails and enjoy following your blog! I can't believe somebody wouldn't claim their beautiful prize, after you are so generous to offer it. Congratulations to the new lucky winner! BethAnn M.
ReplyDeleteGood morning Christina
ReplyDeleteDefinitely no rant you are just being truthful I do so agree with Patricia too. Delighted that Norah has won the card I am sure she will be delighted and not abuse your generosity by not replying. Congratulations Norah!!
Hugs

Christina, you are so right. I follow your site every day and can't wait to see what you have come up with. If the winner doesn't claim the prize, just move on as someone else really wants the opportunity to win your card.
ReplyDeleteI agree you are being more than fair I wouldnt miss it I check your blog every day
ReplyDeletecongratulations to the lucky lady
Hugz Ruth
Good morning Christina,
ReplyDeleteThank you for making my day. I look in each day and always post as i feel that you have been so kind in giving us inspiration that even if it isn't to our taste that's ok as it wouldn't do if we all liked the same thing all the time, but i really do love the composition of your cards and the way you arrange the lovely WOC flowers. Thank you so much for the 2nd chance, i am truly over the moon. Thank you everyone for your good wishes i certainly will appreciate my good fortune, and thank you to your film crew for drawing my name Christina,
Love and crafty hugs
Norah (Glenochil)
Not a rant at all Christina, it is up to us to check to see if we have won one of your wonderful cards, I for one always check to see if I am a lucky winner, but as yet I have never been lucky enough. I will always check though just to see, and maybe one day. This really is a beautiful card and I hope that Norah responds back to you and gets her wonderful card. Hugs, Jen xx

Since I check your site every day, I wouldn't have a problem. I'm sorry you are so frustrated. One thought did come to mind - maybe she is on vacation. I do hope you continue your Friday Freebie. Because I live in the US, the only way I would get to see any of your work first hand is if I won one of your card. Thank you for your daily inspiration as it just makes my day!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Christina, 48 hours should be plenty of time to get back with you.
ReplyDeleteHi Christina,
ReplyDeleteNora certainly sounds appropriately excited as most anyone would be to win one of your fabulous cards. Please don't let one person spoil what is a most generous and loving gesture. I know I certainly check your page every day and maybe one of these days I shall see my name there. Thank you so much for your inspiration I am 78 years young and am just loving what i am learning.
Please don't ever stop. Hugs, Carol Dimse
Hi Christina,
ReplyDeleteWell done to Norah on her 2nd chance win. Kiwi loss. I agree with you Christine it's up to us to look if we leave a comment.

Christina, I follow you on fb, and on G+ ~ I may not always comment, but I sure do keep an eye on your lovely work and if I won, you bet I'd send my land address in a heart beat! lol There are days that I don't get to my email or computer ~ mostly due to health (migraines) so I do hope I never miss out!! Congrats to the lucky winner!!
ReplyDeleteChristine you are very generous to offer these cards and prizes and as the owner I think that you should be able to put whatever rules you want on the giveaway. I subscribe to your blog and get the info in my email box every day. I do appreciate that you are giving 48 hours because sometimes the delivery time for emails are off a day so that still gives me time to reply should I be a winner. I think you are justified to add whatever rules you want. Thanks for your generosity!
ReplyDeleteHi Christina. You are so right. How can people be so rude! I look forward to my emails each day, to see what creation you have made. Keep up the good work. Hugs. Jan. xx
ReplyDeleteGood morning, Christina. I totally agree with you. Anyone that doesn't care enough to check back within 48 hours shouldn't bother to sign up in the first place. Congrats to Norah! What a blessing it would be to win one of your cards!
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Christina,
ReplyDeleteNo rant, just truth. First, you have demonstrated that you not only pay attention to your followers, but listen to their suggestions as well. Second, you have been kind enough to share your works of art with us, and we, should not only be appreciative, but be responsible enough to follow direction, which have been made quite clear...it's that simple. I, and I'm sure others, would jump at the chance to win, as demonstrated by Norah's response. If the winner isn't responsible enough, then by all means give it to some that will appreciate it...or you can just send them all to me and be done with it. I just want you to know how grateful I am that you not only pay attention to us, but listen as well. You have made many tutorials by request, which shows the kind of caring person you are. So thank you. Okay, I'm off my soapbox.
Don't worry Christina I can't believe she didn't check back in. I would be honoured to win one of your cards. You are so inspiring. Well done Norah.
ReplyDeleteHi Christina,
ReplyDeleteI am in total agreement!! This callous behavior is extremely rude and uncaring! If you enter it is definitely your responsibility to check...48 hours is plenty of time ...you should then do another draw. I look forward to feasting my eyes on all your lovely creations...thanks so much for sharing.

I quite agree Christina it is a beautiful card that I certainly would love to win.Val N.xx
ReplyDeleteI quite agree Christina it is a beautiful card that I certainly would love to win.Val N.xx
ReplyDeleteYou are so right. I would love to win one of your cards. They are so beautiful. Please keep the Friday freebie drawings so the rest of us have a chance to win.
ReplyDeleteLucky you, Norah -well done, I notice your posts. You're right of course, Christina. I can only think that the original winner is away from home and unable to access your site. Why else would anyone pass up the chance to receive one of your lovely creations? Thank you for giving us another chance! Jan
ReplyDeleteI agree with ya...you wouldn't have that problem if you pull my name...but it does happen...but their the one who miss out....I love your work to much to miss anything....sending big hugs to ya....
ReplyDeleteHi Christina, Someone pointed out the fact that this person first drawn, might well be ill, or pc is down ..... but for it to happen on both occasions seems a tad odd, and rather disrespectful. I would LOVE to have one of your wonderful cards, and I always check when you have any kind of giveaway ( no luck so far) '( Many congratulations to Nora, so glad it has gone to someone who, very obviously, is very much more than happy to win it! Good luck with your next one Christina .... now then .... how may I bribe you??? (wink wink) LOL!.
ReplyDeleteI would love to win one of your cards. I am so impressed with your cards and attention to detail. Thank you for a chance to win one of your cards.
ReplyDeleteHi Christina ,your cards are all gorgeous and I for one would be over the moon to win one of them.xx
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Norah for being the lucky winner xx
Love & hugs Lynda Brock xx
Just to echo what's been said, it is possible that the winner may have things happen in their life. Though you're right Christina if you've not heard from the winner in 48 hours you need to move on. Nice one Nora, your gain is someone else's loss.
ReplyDeleteSounds fair and right to me Christina, you do the offering and mailing, at least they can check, I hope it wasn't me (lol) was off line for a couple of days. Will see you tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Nora. Such a beautiful card.
ReplyDeleteChristina, I don't think you are ranting about this give-away. You make these very beautiful cards that everyone would love to have, especially me. The 48 hours notice is very fair. I would be so delighted to win one of you cards; they are so lovely.
ReplyDeleteI never win but I check your site every day because I love to look at your cards even though it will be forever before u can get enough Spellbinders to make one.
ReplyDeleteChristina,
ReplyDeleteI agree with you and also agree with your solution to the problem. You have too many admirers of your generous offers. You are correct when you say that after making the card or goodie, packaging the goodies for shipment, and then shipping all for free etc. you should not have to spend additional time to chase anyone down. Just my 2 cents.
Thanks for sharing with us all! Dea
Hi Christina. I'm wondering if that was me Kiwi? I've not had chance to check out the wonder because I've had a terribly stall week. If it was me then all I can say is how sorry I am and apologise. I don't blame you a bit for having a rant and giving the lovely card to someone else. Love Ann
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Norah too.X
ReplyDeleteI would be honoured to get any of your cards, Christina, but I have to admit I do sometimes forget to check because I never think that I will be lucky enough to get one, but you do do everything you can to make sure the winner know about it. And if I entered for one of your cards, I will make a note to remember to check as they are so special.
ReplyDeleteOh what a gorgeous card! I love how soft, feminine and delicate it looks. Any lady would be thrilled to receive this!
ReplyDeleteChristine
I agree Christina, they need to follow up if they are genuinely interested, I know you make the time to do this for us and I personally love your work and would love to win a card. Kiwi's loss and Norah's gain.....luv Ursula xxx
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card and I'd love it, hope I get chosen x
ReplyDeleteThe reasons could be many why she hasn't come forward, I know that last Sunday I was taken to the ER with a severe case of Vertigo, the first time this has ever happened to me, a big scary and it has taken several days for me to get back to checking emails and such (get dizzy when I read) so it could be something bad or it could be just someone that isn't a regular and she was hoping just to be told that she had won, I understand where your coming from with all of this, it is a lot of work and your being sweet enough to share your creations.
ReplyDeleteI love the card. I agree with you 48hrs. is plenty of time to contact you. I check everyday to see if I have won. I love your cards, so I am hoping to win one.
ReplyDeleteI really don't blame you for letting off steam, Christina. Out of the goodness of your heart, you are giving away two of your wonderful creations every week. It's such a shame that the winners can't be bothered to send their details for you to be able to send the prize to them. I get really excited every weekend incase I've been lucky enough to get picked...and if my name is ever picked I'll be contacting you right away :)
ReplyDeleteHow can anyone not claim your beautiful cards Christina....today's card us gorgeous love your pretty colours
ReplyDeleteAnne
Another stunning card Christina. you are so good to set up this giveaway and for you to let all your followers to be given a chance to win one of your stunning cards is fantastic. Anyone who does not claim their card is really losing out on one of your gorgeous creations when the rest of us are keeping our fingers crossed in hope of wining I will never understand when someone get the chance and wins one not to contact you is just bad manners. Its their loss you have given plenty of time for people to contact you.
