This card is created in my favorite style of Hinged Card as this works for me every time and stabilises all the embellishments that I add to the front.
I have used a deep purple for this one and I have used Labels Eight and the matching Majestic Labels Eight
At the top and bottom of the Labels I have added in the pretty little Flourish Trim as an extra
I used a lovely pearl flourish from Want2Scrap and I found some matching feathers in my "Stash" so they were added too.
The single flower is from Wild Orchid Crafts and it sits on top of a lace bow.
The inside is lined and the finished card is created with 5x7 Matting Basics A & B
Buying the Labels of your choice and the Matching Accents or Elements that go with it will always give you lots of choice when you start to make your cards.
And to me it is better to have those dies that match rather than buy random ones to swell your collection. Look after your dies and make them work ... for a lifetimes pleasure of making beautiful cards
More tomorrow ...

Hi Christina, yet another very pretty card...this one is rather dramatic with the beautiful shades of purple. xx
ReplyDeleteabsolutely stunning card. crafty hugs.
ReplyDeleteAnother truly beautiful card. Labels 8 and the matching dies are some of my favorites. I agree that it's better to buy dies that go together rather than random dies. I just wish I had figured that out sooner.
ReplyDeleteI know you stored your dies on magnets in the original packaging. Now that Spellbinders has changed their packaging, have you changed how you store your dies? I had just changed to your system when they came out with the new packaging. Haven't figured out what I'm going to do yet.
Stunning card Christina beautiful colours

Lovely card, very pretty. I wish I'd thought about some of my earlier purchases as I have quite an odd selection of dies now!

Hi Christina
ReplyDeleteAnother stunning card today and in my favourite colours as well. I've now started to buy my dies in sets. When I first started card making I didn't really think about matching them all up.
Hi Christina
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card and I love the purple as it is one of my favourite colours
Love & best wishes

Good morning Christina, this is a beautiful card, love the colours, your tent cards have become my go to for special cards, although I don't add quite as many embellishments I just think they look so nice. X Ros
ReplyDeleteAnother day, another card! How do you manage to do everything? every one is a winner . xx
ReplyDeleteVery pretty. Love the purple.
ReplyDeleteYou are right, we are tempted by so many new dies, and it's easy to end up with some which are hard to use. They just don't wonk with anything else.
Sandra, after a few trials, my dies are stored on strong A5 cards, picture of the die on 1 side (i laminated it at this stage) magnet covering other side. The cards are all the same size, sit in an open box, east to flip through to see what I need, and easy to lift out, use the die, and then you stick the die straight back on the magnet after you have used it. Hope this helps.
Cheers

Good Morning Christina. Great use of the dies in todays card. Busy day - late start - got ironing to do. Enjoy your day. Thank you for all you do.

Lovely purple - fabulous colour. Love the card design, a very pretty card. Pat x
ReplyDeleteHi Christina this is a beautiful card, you have really taught me a lot. The first dies I bought were labels one and labels four just because they looked ok. I have now bought the elegant labels four, and the ornate 3d em-bossing folder which will work together well, and I will be able to create beautiful, cards. Had my grand daughter down for the day to teach her how to make cards, and she goes on your site now to learn and to pick up tips as I have done.
ReplyDeleteI've told my son to be aware that it is a very addictive hobby.
Kind regards

Hi Christina, another beautiful card, love the colours, I agree with everyone's comments on the dies and the hinged card which I find is a lovely size, I was into the 8x8 cards but I love the size of the 5x7 hinged cards now, thanks for all your lovely ideas.
