Hi Everybody,I have been busy with the paint pouring again and I know it is not every bodies cup of tea but I do really like them.
Last week I showed you some blue ones that I had done that matched together.
I have had two of them framed, under glass in gold frames, and they are quite large ones and are now hung on the stair wall.
They are not difficult to do but they are messy. I use a hairdryer to blow the paint around and if you are like me the paint goes everywhere.
But I have to say they are a lot of fun to create and I am going to try some different techniques in the coming months. I haven't filmed the making of these but I will do some more in the future
This is a bigger painting done on canvas and both have now been varnished with three layers of Mod Podge Gloss to keep the shine
I have used Arteza Acrylic Paints on all of them
This one has also had three layers of gloss Mod Podge and they look really vibrant now they are on the wall.

These are lovely...but as you said ...not my kind of craft....I remember years ago ...we went to Blackpool for the weekend and there was place on the front where you could do something like this. The thing that did it went on like a turn table and you placed your piece of card on this then poured your inks from little pots of your choice of colour. When you had finished pouring you pressed a button and the turn table started. It was great to see the colours blending in together. When you were happy with the results you just pressed the button to stop it. It was great fun ....with out the mess. I did a couple and somewhere in our loft they are still there in a box with all my other teenage treasures. So yes I have had a go....but not since then. Thankyou Christina. Love the result you have had with this paint pouring, I think for them to look good you have to have the right colour combo and you have certainly achieved that with them. Beautiful art.

ReplyDeleteLove them all. I also don't mind getting messy if the results are as stunning as these. My aim this week is to try the paint pouring and also the Yupo paper techniques. In fact, I'll have a go with the Yupo paper this evening - if I get the chance!

ReplyDeleteAnytime I spray paint something, I put in a Large cardboard box which helps keep the spray from going everywhere. Even tho you use a hair dryer, you need to get yourself one of them spray tents that so many people use when they spray paint furniture along with other smaller items that they paint using a paint sprayer.
Great job, Christina. They really are quite lovely. The two on the stair wall kind of remind me of ocean waves. They're all very pretty. I'm glad you've found another creative outlet to branch into. It's fun trying different things.
