The technique on both of these cards is created with embossing powder and a sheet of parchment but I don't think it turned out quite right for me.
It was something that I watched Marion Emberson doing on YouTube and her cards turned out lovely.
So as you do I thought "Oh I will have a go at that" but this is my result.
I am adding the link here to Marion's video and if you try it then let me know how it goes for you
Marion has some lovely ideas on how to get he best from any embossing powders that you have and how to mix the colours to create your own, and they are well worth a watch.
I hope you cards turn out better than mine did here but I will give it another go and maybe make the powders a little thicker on my sheet.
Good Luck with it
Bye for now ...
Hugs xx
Morning. Have to admit I’m with you on this technique. Not one of my favourites. Janet Boyne
ReplyDeleteHaven't tried this technique but your cards look lovely Christina, I will watch the video later and maybe give it a go.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely day Sue xx
Was a lovely video to watch Christina, so interesting, I think your cards have turned out lovely. Anne Owens ❤️
ReplyDeleteHi Christina, I’ve enjoyed watching Marion’s video but won’t be trying this technique as I don’t have any coloured embossing powders and I’ve resisted the temptation to buy some! I think your cards are very effective. Hugs, Maggie Coleman xx
ReplyDeleteThat is a unique techniques. A great way to use the embossing powder.
ReplyDeleteLooks quite finicky to apply though. I will give it a go and see if I get any decent results.
You turned out beautiful cards with your results nonetheless.

ReplyDeleteWhat can I say! I am inclined to agree with you!
ReplyDeleteI'll look at the video and see how she does it!

I'm looking at the card and trying to think of how to describe what I think about it...not in a nasty way...it looks quite 'crunchy' as if you took a layer of salt that had hardened after it got damp, and coloured it. I'm deffo going to watch the video to see how Marion did hers. Well done for trying out a new technique tho, Christina. We don't learn if we don't try do we. Bejay in Truro x
ReplyDeleteI think your design looks like countries of the globe split up and arranged with North America in the center there. Does anyone else see that? I'm sorry it didn't turn out the way you wanted. I like it just the same.
ReplyDeleteI have some embossing powders with colours and glitter in them so shall give this a go. I will look at the video too beforehand. Thanks Christina. Have a good day x
ReplyDeleteyours turned out neat too, I had never seen that technique, I don't have a lot of embossing colors but it would be interesting to try!
ReplyDeleteI love the colors and textures with using embossing powders! I'll have to give this a try!
