These two cards have flowers on them that I have not filmed and they are made from the twine I used in the Hessian series.
But for these flowers I have crocheted the twine into floral shapes and added a pearl to the centres. I used quite a big hook to do the stitches and they didn't take long to make.
Now if you crochet then let me know how you go on with them, and if you don't would you like me to do a video on making these simple flowers ???
The cards are both 5x7 and each one has a panel added to the front that is slightly smaller .
One is in landscape and the other is portrait
Both have got a letterpress technique added to the panel but the top one has been sprayed with water for a more watercolour effect.
The second one I have kept as it was, and I used Seedless Preserves to colour them both.
I have used other bit and pieces that I could find on my desktop and the flowers I made a while ago.
Bye for now ...
Hugs xx
Morning - I’m left handed and do look quite odd when I’m crocheting. People say I look like I’m knitting with a crochet needle! So a video would be very welcome as I find it difficult to follow a pattern. Thanks Janet Boyne
ReplyDeleteUnique and idea for an artist that like crochet and card making. It turned out nicely.

Hi Christina. I love these cards. Unfortunately I don't crochet. The first couple of tries were awful so I will admire what you've made. Take care and stay safe. Vicki L Phillips
ReplyDeleteHi Christina. Now how did you know that crochet is my long time past time. I have crochet for almost 60 years and am self taught .... From a booklet I bought in Grandways super market just after we got married. But I have never done crochet flowers for cards. So I will be interested to to see your video.
ReplyDeleteAt the moment I am part way doing a Blanket called The Doo-Dad. You can find it on the internet. If anyone is interested. Thankyou Christina. Sending hugs 🤗 and best wishes to everyone. Please stay safe and well 🙏 .Kind regards Ann Toppcards in Leeds
These are lovely, and for those who can crochet a few flowers will be a breeze!
