Hi Everybody,
My name is Christina and I am so happy that you found my blog Flowers, Ribbons and Pearls.
When I was searching for a name to call my blog I came up with all sorts of titles but sadly they were all taken or the didn't sound right.
So I decided to sleep on it and try again the next day.
In the middle of the night I woke up with flowers, ribbons and pearls going round and round in my head.
Ping!! of course ... that's it .... all the things I love to add to my cards .. and so the blog was born in February 2012.
And now almost ten years later we are still going strong.
As for me, well I am based in the UK and I have lived in the same house for over 48 years. I love every brick of this house and can never see me moving from here.
It was November 2011 when I took the plunge and gave up going out to work. I had been in the same job for 24 years. I worked in the evenings and at weekends on my website. But once I gave up going out to work I could devote more time to developing that side. Card Making Magic had been born in 2009 and once I stopped going out to work I could do more with it.
Then in 2015 I was offered the opportunity to develop my own brand of products and I leapt at the chance. I now have Card Making Magic dies, stamps, stencils and embossing folders that are exclusive to Craft Stash and the collections are growing steadily each year
At present there is a 5x7 , 6x6 , A5 and the new A2 has just arrived, as well as many shaped boxes for you to make
And there is a lot more to come in the future and another Christmas Collection for 2021 is being planned
My husband, Griff sadly and very suddenly died in November l2018 . Between us we have four Daughters, seven Grandchildren and two great Grand children and we all live near each other and they have all been a real comfort to me in this difficult time
Griff was always very supportive of my work and very proud of what I have achieved. He would take videos and show them to anybody and everybody that would listen. He would drive me to Create and Craft and whenever I was down there, or to Stockport when I went to the Craft Stash offices

More tomorrow ...

My late husband died in 2019 after a hard battle with cancer.
Then I developed cancer in 2021. I have always crafted, mainly in textiles, but knowing I was in for a hard battle myself, I decided to try card making.
I am self taught courtesy of your channel and other card makers wonderful channels.
I enjoy it, the time flys by, as I concentrate I forget, my family and friends love my cards, and I love gifting them.
Thank you.
Enjoy your retirement from Craftstash, and I look forward to learning more from you, as I use your dies, and benefit from your wonderful skills and expertise.
