A Big Thank You xxx

 Hi Everybody,

I just wanted to say a really big thank you to all the people who purchased my new A6 Collection on Create & Craft earlier this week as it was a really big sell out in the first hour.

All the products went and the second show had to be cancelled because there was nothing left to sell. I was thrilled that you liked it so much.

The Craft Stash Launch will be this coming Friday on Facebook Live and I will be there with Lou to show you what there is in the Collection.

I hope you can join me at 12.30 and see what is on offer. I have a couple of vidoes to share with you and these demos will be different to the ones Ruth did on C&C.

Don't worry if you can't be there as the videos will be added at a later date to the blog pages, so you won't miss anything with them. But you will miss any prizes that are on offer in the show so make a note to join Lou and myself this Friday.

And I also wanted to tell you that the Cyber Attack in the UK is now at an end and I have been able to post all my parcels today to the winners. Please be sure to let me know when you get them though they will still take while to get to Australia and New Zealand.

Little Step Further ...

 Hi Everybody,

Todays card is done exactly the same way as yesterdays with the paper towel technique but this time I have gone a step further.

Once the towel was completely dry I have taken finger daubers and some inks and very lightly gone over the design.

I have coloured the flowers pink and the leaves a pale green and then I added the panel to a cream card base with glue.

The flowers and leaves have been hot glued in place and then all of it has been splattered in white, black and gold.

I have added some glitter to the petals and the sentiment to the top and this is a very pretty card that would need a box to send it in.

You could do this with any embossing folder that you have and use the cheapest of kitchen roll, toilet paper, tissue or napkins that you have and it doesn't matter if there is a pattern already in the roll it will still take on the embossing pattern once it is wet and you run it through your machine.

Just have fun and play and you will be surprised at the result.

Everyday Items - Paper Kitchen Towel

Hi Everybody,

In this little series I am using items that you will find in your own home that can be used to create different  looks for your designs.

So far I have used Tin Foil to create a really pretty background  and in this video I am using paper towels to do the same thing.
And the result is lovely.

I am going to do more videos to show you how I have used up ordinary things to create something pretty for my cards that won't break the bank, and that you probably already have in your home.

It is worth having a look around to see what you have and then give it a try. If it doesn't work out for you that's ok you can always try something else.
But you never know you could be very pleasantly surprised with what you get.

Here is a reminder of what the tin foil card turned out like, and who knows what I will use next !!!
The link will take you to the video in case you missed it.

Butterfly Cards

 Hi Everybody,

For both of these cards today I have used butterflies that where simply lying in my bit box.

I have used two of the shapes and layered them together so that the wings are layered and the top wing has been curled a little to give movement.

I also found some Diamante butterfly shapes that I have added to the top of the wings and that gives a beautiful shimmery effect.

The leaves in the background are from a layering die set that I have water coloured to give the shading.

The flower on this card has been stamped and heat embossed in white powder and the water coloured.

I have added a pearl centre to the petals and then foam pads to raise it up from the card.

Both are far prettier in the hand and sparkle really well in the light.

Deal Of The Day

Hi Everybody,

Just to let you know that there is a special offer on these word dies at present and they are always handy items to have in your own collections.

They can be used to make a real statement on your designs or if needed you can cut them up to use just a portion of them

These words have been cut in white card but they would look very classy in glitter or mirror card depending on the style of card you are creating.

Sometimes a water coloured back ground can look amazing with just a word greeting on the front but whatever you decide to do with them the choice as always is yours.

Just have fun and get the imagination going to produce some spectacular card for all your recipients.

Click the link above to go to the Craft Stash page with the offer and there is also a video to show you how I have used this set.

Black & Silver Card

Hi Everybody,

Todays card is another from the ones made with black card and this one also has a foamiran flowers added to the front.

For the back ground I embossed a separate panel in the flourish fold and then swiped over the top of it with a silver ink pad.

This left a very light dusting of silver ink on all the raised pattern to the panel, and it is an ink pad that I have had for many years.

I added this to the base card with foam tape to give some height.

From the same black card I used a Fancy Nested shape to cut two layers that have been glued together and these are also added with foam.

The sentiment is from the set that I bought at the craft show and they can be cut don and used as you like them.

The flower has been cut from the foam three times, using the Layering Flower dies, and heated to soften the foam with an iron. They can then be rolled into shape, and the stamens pushed through the three layers of the flower.

I have also shaped the leaves the same way and glued them under the actual bloom. The edges to the petals has been lightly dotted with glue and then sprinkled with a fine silver glitter.

Black Group

 Hi Everybody,

I have been known to create black cards in the past but they have usually been sympathy cards.

But for todays group I have chosen the black and used up all the spare die cuts that I had on my desk. Some of them are from projects done quite some time ago.

For some of them I have added in handmade foamiran flowers and for others I have used some stamped and some just die cut.

This is the one with the die cut flowers and they are in cream and gold.

I will link as many of the products that I have used at the bottom of the page and if you have them then maybe you would be inspired to get them out again.

Each one of the cards has a panel that has been embossed in a folder for added texture but it doesn't show up very well on the photos.

They are all different sizes and orientations too as I had all the card bases ready folded so it made sense to use up what I had done.

For this card I used Broken China to add the cloudy look to portions of the background, over the embossing, with a small brush so the colour wouldn't be too deep.

I do quite like them all but this one with the three flowers on it is my favourite.

They are created from Foamiran with extra inking on the petals and of course the added glitter.

Hope you like at least some of them
