This bright and cheerful card has used several techniques in its making.
The first thing I did was to create my background with the Brusho Crystal Colours and I used Orange and Red
Then I added in the flourish with Versamark and white embossing powder and heated it till it was raised
The gold dots are created with a mask and some embossing paste that was sprinkled while wet with gold glitter
I left that on one side for a few hours to dry completely and then I shaped the card with a corner rounder
It has been matted onto gold mirror card and layered onto the card base with foam tape to give dimension
Spellbinders have lots of word sentiments and this is Hello from Phrases Set Two
It was cut in black card several times and layered together to make it stand out from the card.
There is a very simple, quick and easy card to do and the colours are what make it stand out from the crowd.
More tomorrow ...
Hugs xx

Good Morning, Christina,
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty card and so colourful. Just what's needed for a dark and dismal morning down here in Cornwall. I love the embossing...would you believe that I got my very first tub of white embossing powder last week. I have NO idea why I've never had white before lol. I'm looking forward to playing with it. I don't have too many masks right now but my sister has hinted that she's getting me a soldering/craft iron for Christmas so that I can have a play at making my own...anyone have a pair of asbestos gloves lol

ReplyDeleteHi Christina, what a bright & cheerful card, and unusual too. I don't have Brusho's but I should be able to achieve a similar result with sponging distress inks ... I hope! LOL! I once tried adding glitter to embossing paste while still wet, and it worked a treat, not done any since but I must, I so enjoyed the finished results, and enjoyed playing with that technique. It really is fun! Thanks for sharing this lovely card , it has inspired me to now make a card with the one I did ages ago (a peacock stencil)
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Karen xx
