Beautiful Card Designs Made Easy

Water Colour Wednesday - Delivering Parcels !!

Hi Everybody,

Todays card is created with a Christmas stamp but I didn't want it to look overly wintry

So I decided to paint it with brighter colours

I used Gansai Tambi water colours and I added in some lace from Wild Orchid Crafts  and a die cut shape just sitting in my bit box.

Waste not, want not ... as the saying goes so I used up what was there.

I also added in the stripes to the scarf by hand with a black fine liner pen. It just adds a little interest to the stamp.

Over the last few weeks I have added several cards to YouTube and said that they are A2 size and from a comment that has been left on my channel somebody has disagreed with me.

Now a few years ago I added a video about our UK A2 size and the US A2 size and the difference is enormous and I thought it was worth explaining just how much

More About Card Sizes  was added for that purpose and so if you haven't seen the video and are a little confused about the sizes then here is the link again with the explanation.

More tomorrow ...

Hugs xx

  8. Hi Christina,
What a beautiful card! The choice of colours is brilliant. I have a big smile on my face with this one.

  9. Simply adorable, love the image and die. The lace looks fabulous. Hugs Jennifer xx

  10. Hi Christina,
Currently watching the only game in town playing at Wimbleton right now (I wonder when they'll get the roof on Court 1 as well as centre court).
Anyway, back to business...Love the card. Teddy looks rather spiffy in his blue and yellow outfit doesn't he.
I like to think that I'm used to the difference in our sizes and the US sizes now but the video is a great reminder and a wonderful guide for new papercrafters. The thing that I get really confused with would have to be the different ways we chose to describe the weight of our cardstock with us using gsm and the US using pound weight. I can't get my head around how to work that one out when I'm watching the US videos lol.

  11. Beautiful card and love the colours, the lace is gorgeous too and looks a bit like a pattern made with frost!

  13. Thanks Christina for you useful video re card sizes, what a cute card too X X X

  14. Such a pretty card. I love the coloring and all of the details you've added. I live in the U.S. and, to tell you the truth, I can't keep track of the A sizes..even ours, so just try to go with the measurements..but if it's not inches, then I'm lost. Thank heaven for Google.

  15. Lovely card Christina. Thank you for sharing this with us and for reminding us of the sizes.

  16. Lovely card Christina, very cute :)
