My little corner of Blogland where I can share my creations with you. There are many video tutorials as well as links to good quality websites for all your crafting needs.
These lovely cards are created using more of the background dies that are my recent purchases.
This first one is called the Hexagon Pattern and it makes a beautiful effect for your cards.
I bought both of these dies from PapertreyInk in the USA
It has taken a few weeks for them to get here but they are well worth waiting for ... and no customs charge this time either.
The base is cut from Grand Labels and the sentiment from JustRite Stampers has been heat embossed in silver.
The flowers are a mixture from Wild Orchid Crafts and the petals have been sparkled with Glamour Dust.
This one is a Harlequin Pattern and it has a matching stamp that you can buy.
I have cut the die and stamped the images and then married the two together
I think they are lovely cards and these are dies I will be using time and time again.
I also have one more patterned background to show you will but that will have to wait.....
I am going away for a short break this weekend and all my Blog posts for next week are scheduled to go out each morning. So fingers crossed that nothing goes wrong.
Once I come back I will have another "Give Away" for you and some exciting news that I can hardly wait to share with you.
This pretty card is put together as a Hinged Card and is in a lovely shade of pale green and white.
I made the base and then embossed the largest of the Elegant Labels 4 into a second layer of card.
The rest of the card has been layered up with the other Elegant Labels 4 and the plain Labels 4 set.
The ribbon has been wrapped around the embossed layer and added to the card front.
The lilac Rose is from Wild Orchid Crafts and I have added in some string pearl to the bow.
I have used the same green and the Labels four to decorate the inside of the card too and wrapped the ribbon around the layers.
A light dusting of Bundled Sage Distress Ink has been added around the edge of the sentiment and then layered on to the card with foam pads.
More tomorrow ...
Hugs xx
P.S. Yesterday I showed you the Quatrefoil Die that I had waited for ... but I have been told by Mandy that this die is available in the UK and so here is the link to the die at Sunrise Crafts .... click the link and go shopping ... it is gorgeous.
Do you have favorite papers that you have used and then end up with lots of left overs that aren't really big enough to do another card ???
I have lots of these and I cannot for the life of me throw them away.
I have flower making sessions where I will spend the whole day making lots of different coloured flowers and packing them neatly ready to use.
But sometimes I have papers that all blend together and with these I can cobble a card that I am happy with and this is one such card.
These are all papers that I had left over from the projects I made using the Funky Hand CD "Wishes and Kisses" and I have just cut them into equal squares to fit my card front.
It is made from the Hinged Card style using the Matting Basics and the only other die I have used is the small label form the Radiant Rectangles.
Onto this I have stamped and heat embossed my sentiment from JustRite
But the card itself is made from the Mosaic Card Tutorial and I have used a small amount of Gilding Flakes.
Once the Big Double Bow was added and the pearly Bling from Want2Scrap .... I think the card can be said to be finished
This card has been the subject of a new video that has been added to the website today.
It uses a die that was one of the first ones I ever bought and it makes really pretty flowers.
It is an old die and the only way I can show you what it looks like is to take the photo.
But the flower on the card is made from this set and the Video Tutorial will show you how .
The Daisy Heads Flower is another short film but it will give you the idea of how to shape the petals.
I have been asked if I am going to continue with the YouTube Videos and the answer is "Yes"
They are the links that I add to the written and edited pages on the website.
But my classes with The Art Studio will have more in depth content to them and the photos will not be shown on the Blog.
I have had several emails from new joiners to my online class and they are all delighted with the content.... and are eagerly awaiting the next class. Thank you for your support and your comments.
