New Dies...

Hi Everybody,

I don't usually start my Christmas s cards this early in the year ... I like to get the feel of some summer first.

But these are some of the new dies that I have been waiting for and they are from  Tattered Lace.

I bought quite a few and there is the most gorgeous shoe die ..."High Heel Glam" ... that I will show you soon.

So today I have been busy cutting out white card and playing with them and layering to see what I can create.

The dies cut so easy and they are a pleasure to work with.

And this is the first Christmas card for this year using these dies.

I wasn't too happy with this card when I started it but once the flowers were added and the Glamour Dust it looked completely different.

And just the addition of the green pearls to the Poinsettia centres made a difference too.

The sentiment is cut from the Christmas Sentiments set and they are individual words that you can mix and match to say what you want.

I also bought the everyday words as they will mix with this set as well... and  I believe there is a Relations set coming out soon.

I have lots of ideas for using these dies and they will be put to good use over the coming months.
More tomorrow ...

Turquoise and White...

 Hi Everybody,

For todays card I have gone with a deeper colour and used Turquoise Centura Pearl.

It has been embossed with the A4 folder called Argyle  and both are from    Crafters Companion

The finished card is about 7 1/2"  and I have used the Grand Squares.... click the photo to enlarge it.

The beautiful inlay is the Gold Elements One and I have cut it twice to make the square.

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts   and feature some of the new Chrysanthemums  that they have in.

The large pearls are from Want2Scrap  and they are some of the Bulk Bling.   A little bow with turquoise ribbon finishes off the card.

Venetian Card ...

Hi Everybody,

Todays card is made from white and a soft cream Centura Pearl.... and I really like the finished result.

The cream has been embossed with an A4 folder called Patchwork and both that and the card are from Crafters Companion

The Spellbinders used are listed below

The card is made to a Hinged Style using the Grand Squares

The Venetian Accents and Motifs set is so delicate and I just love the mask.

I have tucked it in the bottom right along with the beautiful cram flowers from   Wild Orchid Crafts

Please click the photo for a closer look.

The ribbon is from my "Stash" and the pearls are from Want2Scrap

The sentiment is one of the Everyday sentiments  from   Lili of the Valley   and it has been stamped and heat embossed in Gold.

The central white panel has been embossed with Paisley M-Bossabilities.

Little Boy Blue ...

HI Everybody,

Todays card has been created using a stamp from Crafters Companion

It is one I have had for a long time so I don't know if it is still available.

The image has been coloured with Spectrum Noir and then I fussy cut around it .

The card has been made from elements from each of the dies shown and then added to a larger background ... and is a Hinged Card

The blue layer has been embossed with an A4 folder from Crafters Companion called Argyle.

The sentiment is from  JustRite Stampers  and has been heat embossed in silver.  I have edged the Labels 18 with a silver pen

The ribbon is from   Really Reasonable Ribbon   and the gemstones are from  Want2Scrap

The finished card is A5 and will fit into a standard sized envelope.

I am excitedly awaiting the delivery of some new dies and I can't wait to show you some of the ways that I will be playing with them.

More tomorrow ...

White Rabbit ...

Hi Everybody,

Here is my interpretation of the White Rabbit that is part of the set that I am colouring for Isabella ... my Great Grand-daughters bedroom.

He has been coloured with Spectrum Noir and once finished will be framed to hang on her wall and it is quite large.

I have really enjoyed colouring in these pictures and I have taken my time to get the blending just right.

At the end of the month I have a new class starting with The Art Studio and I am in the process of doing the videos now ... got to keep the "Film Crew" busy you see.....

It will be a more in depth tutorial on using Spectrum Noir and as the classes continue I will cover as many tips and techniques as I can.

More tomorrow ... and back to a card I think
