Sarahs' Irish Dancer ...

Hi Everybody,

Today I wanted to show a card that has been  made for me  by a young Irish girl by the name of Sarah..

A little while ago I told you about Sarah ... she is 13 and has a real talent for drawing and making cards.

She wanted to make me a card to say thank you for all the tutorials she enjoys and the ideas she tries out from the website.

Well this is Sarahs' Card and the character of the Irish Dancer is  hand drawn, coloured and composed by Sarah herself and for some one so young I think she has done a really good job.

I have added in the watermark for obvious reasons but the work is all down to Sarah.

I am delighted with the card which is about A4 size and I will treasure it as something very special.

The sentiment on the front is in Irish and it says a ... "Million Thank Yous" ...  and I thank you too Sarah for making me this beautiful card.

And if you would like  to tell her  that you have seen her card and you like it then  here is the link to
Sarahs' Facebook Page ....  and don't forget to click the "Like" button while you are there.

More tomorrow ...

Happy Birthday ...

Hi Everybody,

I made this card  for a special person in our family as it was her birthday and I wanted something really pretty.

I have used quite a selection of dies and the central panel is using the Diamond and Grateful Lattice sets.

I have added this on foam pads to create some depth to the card.

The ribbon is from my stash and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts  and to the centre of the flowers I have added in a pretty Decorative Hatpin

I  have added in  Pierced Edges  (Tutorial)  to the card and the embossing is the A4 folder from Crafters Companion called Argyle

Kraft Card ...

Hi Everybody,

I have used some of the Kraft card that I bought at the craft show from  Anna Marie Designs

I have teamed it with white card and the result is very pretty.

The ribbon is Silky Crush and it is very soft and is tied in a double bow created with the Bow Maker

The embellishment in the centre  of the bow has been covered in Versamark and then dipped into some Gold embossing powder and heated to change the colour of what was just a plain pearl Dazzler.

The background has been cut from white card and layered onto more of the same but I have used foam pads to separate the layers to give depth.

The sentiment is from Lili of the Valley and has also been heat embossed

I have used the beautiful pearl from  Want2Scrap  to outline the central area ...

Thank You card ...

Hi Everybody,

Todays card is using the Grand Labels for my base and layering up with blue and yet more white.

I have only used four sets of dies but the basic shape is the Grand Labels and I love the curved edges.

It is a Hinged Card  ... and if you wanted to add to your repertoire with Spellbinders then my very first  class is available to purchase with The Art Studio

The sentiment has been stamped and embossed in silver and added to Labels 22 and then layered onto the Decorative version of the same die.

The blue ribbon is some of my bargain ribbon from the craft show and I have added a pearl to the centre of the knot ... and the Finesse Flourish  from  Want2Scrap

The pretty flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and features the new Chrysanthemums that are available on their website.

Elegant Labels 4 ...

Hi Everybody,

This pretty card is put together as a Hinged Card and is in a lovely shade of pale green and white.

I made the base and then embossed the largest of the Elegant Labels 4 into a second layer of card.

The rest of the card has  been layered up with the other Elegant Labels 4 and the plain Labels 4 set.

The ribbon has been wrapped around the embossed layer and added to the card front.

The lilac Rose is from Wild Orchid Crafts  and I have added in some string pearl to the bow.
I have used the same green and the Labels four to decorate the inside of the card too and wrapped the ribbon around the layers.

A light dusting of Bundled Sage Distress Ink has been added around the edge of the sentiment and then layered on to the card with foam pads.
