Background Pattern Dies ...

Hi Everybody,

These lovely cards are created using more of the background dies that are my recent purchases.

This first one is called the Hexagon Pattern and it makes a beautiful effect for your cards.

I bought both of these  dies  from  PapertreyInk  in the  USA

It has taken a few weeks  for them to get here but they are well worth waiting for ...  and no customs charge this time either.

The base is cut from Grand Labels and the sentiment from   JustRite Stampers   has been heat embossed in silver.

The flowers are a mixture from  Wild Orchid Crafts  and the petals have been sparkled with Glamour Dust.

This one is a Harlequin Pattern and it has a matching stamp that you can buy.

I have cut the die and stamped the images and then married the two together

I think they are lovely cards and these are dies I will be using time and time again.

I also have one more patterned background to show you will but that will have to wait.....

I am going away for a short break this weekend and all my Blog posts for next week are scheduled to go out each morning.  So fingers crossed that nothing goes wrong.

Once I come back I will have another "Give Away" for you and some exciting news that I can hardly wait to share with you.

More tomorrow from a scheduled post ....

Almost White ...

Hi Everybody,

This almost white card is created from the Grand Squares and has been layered up with smaller panels that have been hand cut.

The Grateful Lattice has been framed and add to an embossed panel.

The sentiment is from Lili of the Valley and it has been heat embossed in silver.

The flower die has been cut out several times and all layered together to create the large bloom that is on the right and I have created the leaves to the flower suing the largest die from the  Damask Motifs.

I have added a pearl centre and glittered the leaves with Glamour Dust.  The pearly flourish is from Want2Scrap

The paper behind the Lattice was from a free paper stack.

Sarahs' Irish Dancer ...

Hi Everybody,

Today I wanted to show a card that has been  made for me  by a young Irish girl by the name of Sarah..

A little while ago I told you about Sarah ... she is 13 and has a real talent for drawing and making cards.

She wanted to make me a card to say thank you for all the tutorials she enjoys and the ideas she tries out from the website.

Well this is Sarahs' Card and the character of the Irish Dancer is  hand drawn, coloured and composed by Sarah herself and for some one so young I think she has done a really good job.

I have added in the watermark for obvious reasons but the work is all down to Sarah.

I am delighted with the card which is about A4 size and I will treasure it as something very special.

The sentiment on the front is in Irish and it says a ... "Million Thank Yous" ...  and I thank you too Sarah for making me this beautiful card.

And if you would like  to tell her  that you have seen her card and you like it then  here is the link to
Sarahs' Facebook Page ....  and don't forget to click the "Like" button while you are there.

Happy Birthday ...

Hi Everybody,

I made this card  for a special person in our family as it was her birthday and I wanted something really pretty.

I have used quite a selection of dies and the central panel is using the Diamond and Grateful Lattice sets.

I have added this on foam pads to create some depth to the card.

The ribbon is from my stash and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts  and to the centre of the flowers I have added in a pretty Decorative Hatpin

I  have added in  Pierced Edges  (Tutorial)  to the card and the embossing is the A4 folder from Crafters Companion called Argyle

Kraft Card ...

Hi Everybody,

I have used some of the Kraft card that I bought at the craft show from  Anna Marie Designs

I have teamed it with white card and the result is very pretty.

The ribbon is Silky Crush and it is very soft and is tied in a double bow created with the Bow Maker

The embellishment in the centre  of the bow has been covered in Versamark and then dipped into some Gold embossing powder and heated to change the colour of what was just a plain pearl Dazzler.

The background has been cut from white card and layered onto more of the same but I have used foam pads to separate the layers to give depth.

The sentiment is from Lili of the Valley and has also been heat embossed

I have used the beautiful pearl from  Want2Scrap  to outline the central area ...
