Beautiful Card Designs Made Easy

New Video ...

Hi Everybody,

This is  the card I showed you the other day and as promised I have now added the video tutorial for it to the website.

Heirloom Ornament 2010  is very easy  and the finished card is very effective.

You can use up all your bits of left over glitters and fill which ever space of your pattern that you like.

And if you don't have the same Quatrefoil Pattern that I have used then you can substitute it with one that you do have.

But for those  of you that don't have any Spellbinders ... well fear not ...  I am going to show you how to get this look with out them.

Watch this space it's coming soon.

And to ring the changes a little more then all you have to do is turn the whole finished decoration upside down.

It then looks like another bauble on your cards.

The letters are from the Font One Uppercase and Lowercase but the uppercase won't show up

The flowers are as always from Wild Orchid Crafts

The flourish is from Want2Scrap   and completes this very pretty card.

"Blingy" Bits ...

Hi Everybody,

Wondering around Harrogate we on Friday we did the usual of going in and out of shops with nothing particular in mind ... just mooching about.

But this is a little haul that I wanted to share as for me it is such a bargain .. but not as it is. It is the Bracelets at the top of the picture that I wanted to show you and this was picked up in Primark

They are metal  with Diamante and pearls as well as some really pretty cameos on some of the pieces and they cost me £3 each.

But once I took the bracelet apart  I ended up with eight lovely individual pieces that can be added to a bow to really add a touch of the special to a card.

They came in black and silver and cream and gold and they are much prettier in real life than the photo gives them justice.

As I use them I will tell you and then you can judge for yourself whether or not you think they look good.

But I was really pleased with my purchase.

The rest of the goodies in this little haul are some polka dot resin bows some small Diamante hearts that are earrings for pierced ears ...  and I will take the posts off them.

The other items in the lower right corner are some Diamante hair grips.  I will also remove these from the grips and that butterfly will grace a card just perfectly.

So although this lot cost me £12.50 once all the items are taken apart there are 33 individual pieces which works out at 37 pence per item and that is not a bad buy at all.

Craft Show "Goodies"

Hi Everybody,

Home again and this is my haul from the GNPE craft fair on Saturday.

I managed to get everything on my list and some of it was basic stuff like the White 300gsm  Card from Anna Marie Designs

I bought Double sided adhesive sheets and magnetic sheets to store my Spellbinders on.

Some  "Wow" embossing powders from  Stamps by Chloe   as well as some of her stamps.

But tucked in the background there is one of the newest M-Bossabilities called Roman Romance and it is lovely.  I will point it out when I use it on a card. It is very deep and intricate.

The tartan ribbon was a buy I couldn't resist.

All the shiny  "Bling" bits at the front are from The Hobby House   and consist of some buckles and some Diamante circle with pearls in the middle ... all magpie collecting stuff that I love to add to my cards.

So I shall be playing with this new stuff and I will tell you which ones as they are added to a card.

And another ...

Hi Everybody,

This is scheduled post because I am away looking at crafting goodies.  But this is another Christmas card using the Heirloom Ornament die.

I have used a glue pen and Glamour Dust for some of the areas in the Hexagon Pattern and the small Poinsettia is from my "Stash"

This card and the one yesterday are very easy to and both will be shown on the video tutorial to be filmed next week.

The Polka Dot ribbon is also some that I have had for awhile but the beautiful pearly flourish is from Want2Scrap

Red and white are a lovely combination for Christmas cards and not too far away from the traditional color scheme that we think of for this time of year.

The pattern in the background is from the Snowflake embossing folder from Crafters Companion
For the inside I have decorated this with two of the strips from the Accents and placed the ribbon over the top.

The pearl hides the knot on front and inside.

So this is another that will go in my box ready to send at Christmas.

I will be adding some Christmas Cards to my new Etsy Shop ... which although it is early days it  is going very well.

A Christmas Card ...

Hi Everybody,

Todays card uses the Quatrefoil Pattern again to fill the frame.

There is a video tutorial to show you how I made the frames and it doesn't matter which of the Nestabilities you use it is the same method  ...   with Spellbinders

Or you can make it freehand    without Spellbinders.

The background has been embossed with the 8 x 8 Bauble Folder from Crafters Companion    and the small red Roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts

Then all I have done is fill some of the pattern with a glue pen and sprinkled it with Glamour Dust and allowed it to dry.

In each of the cross sections I have added small pearls from Want2Scrap

I will be doing a video on  the making of this card next week as I am gong on my trip to the GNPE Craft show in Harrogate later today.

I have a list prepared of the items that I want and I will show you what I buy  when I am back home.

And not shown in the list below is an Uppercase set of Alphabet too.
