Friday Freebie 023

Hi Everybody,

Back to pink for this weeks card and I have used several layers with different dies for this one.

The only one not shown on the list at the bottom is the lacy one behind the sentiment and that is called Tranquil Moments.

The beautiful pink satin ribbon is from Mei Flower  with a single rose from Wild Orchid Crafts added to the  double bow

If you would like to win this card then all you need to do is leave me a comment at the end of the post.

Then tomorrow come back and check if your name has been selected as the winner and the card will be sent to you wherever you are.

And don't forget that there is a "Give Away" running until Sunday so add your name to that list if you would like to win the Goodies on offer ....    Bank Holiday Give Away

Create More Flowers ...

Hi Everybody,

Another of the promised videos using the Create a Flower dies from Spellbinders ... and these were shown at the beginning of this month on Create and Craft by your truly!!

This is the Rose that was created in this tutorial and I really like the way this card has turned out.

The background is deeply embossed with the 3-D folder called Delightful Daisies .. I just added the Rose over the Daisy instead !

The card is created in the Hinged Card Style  which is most definitely my favorite way to make cards

The pearl flourish is from Want2Scrap  which is always a special touch to any card for me

Use your pastels, inks, pens or pencils to make the Rose any color that you would like and add it to any of your projects.

You don't need to add the glitter but I like the effect that it gives to the petals.

The one I use is Cheltenham from Glitter Magic as it is really fine and matches well with any color card that you have used.

Remember the Coloring ...

Hi Everybody,

Todays card is created using a digital image from Just Inklined  ... it is one of the many images on the CD "The Next Big Thing"

I have colored it with Spectrum Noir pens and pencils and the colors I have  used are ...

Pens      -TB1 TB2 TB4 DG2 DG4 IG2
Pencils  - 069, 070, 076, 045, 048, 049 and 001 was used to highlight the petals and  leaves

Sets of both pens and pencils are available from JGD Crafts   and I have to say that the pencils are fabulous to work with and enhance your coloring immensely

The pointillism background is using the pens in the same colors I use to color the flower and I have gone around the whole flower with a grey shadow using IG2

The ribbon ...  which just happened to match ... is from my "Stash" and the centre of the bow is from Wild Orchid Crafts.  The large pearls are part of  Want2Scrap  Bulk Buy Bling and is a real bargain

Just a reminder that there is a "Give Away" running until next Sunday and so if you would like to win the goodies on offer then add your name to the list ..... Bank Holiday Give Away

Superb Stargazer Lilies ...

Hi Everybody,

This beautiful card is created using another of the Create a Flower dies from Spellbinders.

This is the Stargazer Lily and it is one that looks far more complicated than it is ... so don't be put off.

On the video I have shown you how to make this flower for two different purposes.

Here I have made just two of the Lilies and added them to a card and I think the effect is very pretty.

The flowers them selves have been colored with alcohol markers to give the shading as in the real flower

You can do that with anything that you have in your own personal "Stash"  ... watercolor pencils,   alcohol markers,  pastels,  distress inks

And lilies come in many colors so you can make them suit your color scheme.

Scroll  down to watch the video on how to make these very realistic flowers ...

.. and the video will show you how to add a stem to them to make them into an independent  display

Here I have added them to a little porcelain shoe along with some green ivy

I have tied the whole lot with ribbon and this would make a lovely addition to someone dressing table.
