Hope you are all having a good day with the rest of the weekend stretching before you.  It is very warm here today even though the sun isn't out much.  We enjoyed a lovely family breakfast at the local bistro this morning and caught up with everybodies news from the past week.

Friday Freebie - Card & Die 3

Hi Everybody,

Another pretty water coloured card is on offer in this weeks Friday Freebie and the die set that will be with it is Enhanced Pennant

This  little set has four parts to it and will look really good when added to your own designs

The card is water coloured with Distress Inks and the flowers blend with the colour scheme

International Ambassadors Informal Blog Hop

Hi Everybody,

Its that time of the month again when some of the Ambassadors go hopping around and we really hope that you will join us again.

This month we have chosen Tags for our theme and each one of us would like to show you what we have created

I made mine in the Shabby Chic Style that I really enjoy making and for this I created my tag from Labels 28

I cut this three times and glued them all together for extra strength.

Then I added different elements to create the background and added in some torn paper.

The die cut under the flowers is Victorian Medallion One

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and they have been sparkled with fine glitter

Wednesday Water Colour - Sketched Elephants

Hi Everybody,

For this Water Colour Wednesday we have a video tutorial on YouTube showing you how I created this card.

This is  Sketched Elephants  from Whimsy Stamps and I have also used Spectrum Noir pens to create the hills

It is a delightful stamp set that has it's own matching dies but you could always just fussy cut the image out if you don't have them.

I have added the list of supplies at the bottom of the post  ... but shop around for them as you may find them cheaper.

I have done quite a few water colour videos lately and they will be added each week on YouTube and each will cover a different stamp and die set

Tuesday Tutorial - Fairmont Deco Accent

Hi Everybody,

For todays tutorial I am using the 6x6 Matting Basics along with one of the newer Spellbinders dies and I have done the card in a pretty turquoise and white using only the dies and a little ribbon

Spellbinders Supplies:

• S6-025 6x6 Matting Basics A
• S6-026 6x6 Matting Basics B
• S6-058 Fairmont Labels
• S6-059 Fairmont Decorative Accents
• S4-564 Simply Said Phrases Two
• PL-001 Platinum Die Cutting and Embossing Machine

Other Supplies:

• Ribbon from Mei Flower
• Diamante dazzler from Wild Orchid Crafts
• White & Turquoise card from Papermill Direct

Instructions:

With die #8 from Matting Basics A cut two pieces of card in white.
Score one of them about half an inch down from the top and add glue along the scored part.
Add the second piece of card to the glued area to create a top folded base card

(Please remember that die #1 is always the smallest)

With die #8 from Matting basics B cut a layer in turquoise 

Use die #5 from the Fairmont Labels to cut another layer in turquoise

Cut one of each of the dies from the Fairmont Deco Accents in white

Glue the large turquoise panel to the base card
Wrap ribbon around the largest panel from the patterned pieces and add foam tape to the back then add to the card
Layer up the smaller turquoise panel with foam pads and add the next panel from the Deco Accents also with foam pads
The foam pads that I use are only 1mm thick but they give a nice dimension to the card
Cut some of your foam pads to fut neatly behind the smallest panel and add that to the centre of the card

Cut the sentiment in turquoise card and double sided adhesive sheet and layer together onto the centre of the card front
Tie a double bow and add to the side of the card front
I secured my bow in place with a hot glue gun
