When I went to the Craft show a few weeks ago I got talking to a young man that offered a really good service for broken Grand Calibur machines.
His name is Chris and I thought it was such a good deal that I needed to tell you about it too. So keep the link safe ... because sooner or later you may need to use it.
It is no secret that I love my Spellbinders and use them every day. But I have had a broken Calibur in the past and I had to send it away to be fixed ... fortunately it was still under warranty. But something on the internal workings had fallen off mine and the machine rattled when ever it was moved and that's not good !!
Everything else was still there for me with my machine ... plates, handle, tan mat ... all I need was the Calibur.
I know they are not a cheap machine to buy and so if yours breaks maybe you don't need to replace the whole lot. So this is a deal that seems to me far better if you need to replace a machine that is out of warranty.
Take a look at this .... Grand Calibur Deal .... and see what you think.
You get a reconditioned machine AND money back for your old one when you send it to Chris. Tell him if you prefer a machine with the wider mouth ... as some of the older machines will not take the newer plates.
But I hope it helps you if you need to replace your old machine that is broken.
Hugs xx

Great deal, only wish he was in North America LOL as I live in Canada. Not an issue yet but I am sure that at some point in the future I might need to fix mine :D
ReplyDeleteChristina,
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the link. Thankfully my GC is still going strong, but it will someday not be. I have bookmarked Chris' link. Thanks again!

Interesting idea, but I think it's for UK, not us in the US. My GC broke inside after only a few uses, and Spellbinders paid for the shipping for me to return it, and replaced or repaired it within 1 week. Their Customer Service was very good; of course, it was (and still is) under warranty. Nice to know that there are options out there! Thank you, Christina, for keeping us informed of all these things.
ReplyDeleteGood evening Christina,
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for this wonderful link. I am on my second Grand Calibur fingers crossed it will keep going for a long time. It is much better than the first one.
Dread to think what I would do if it broke, at least there is a lifeline.
Information much appreciated

It's so funny that you posted this...mine broke the other day!! A screw popped off inside and was rattling. I took it apart and was able to fix it, thankfully. I tightened all the screws...they were all a little loose. I'm glad I didn't have to buy another one!! Have a great day :)
