For todays card I have used another of the dies from JGD Crafts and this is the Californian Collection Background die designed by Sue Wilson.
I have simply cut the pattern out of white card and then cut it into strips and backed each one with pink card. The card is from Papermill Direct
I have mitred each corner and added it to an embossed panel
with foam tape to raise it up
There is a smaller frame over the verse and a little pearl from Want2Scrap added to the centres of each pattern
The verse is from Crafters Companion
The tiny bows are off a new pair of pyjamas ... as they look much better on my card
The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and are a lovely mixture of Roses, Tulips, Cosmos Daisies and Sweetheart Blossoms.
All sprinkled in glitter from Glitter Magic
It is quite a big card at 7 inch square but it does look very pretty.
More tomorrow ...
Hugs xx

ReplyDeleteGood morning Christina,
ReplyDeleteWhat a great way of changing a background die into a foreground one. It looks lovely with the mitred corners against the pink. I have to agree with the pyjamas bow, it does just finish it off lovely. I love the big Camilia (i think) that you have in the top corner of your flower arrangement as it is beautiful and a cracker of a size.
Love and crafty hugs

ReplyDeleteYAY ME! I FINALLY found time to come and see the Friday card in time to be in the running for you sending it to me!!
ReplyDeleteThis card is absolutely beautiful and the sentiment is perfect! I say this to my grandchildren all the time!! If I was lucky enough to have this card on it's way to me I would definitely be hanging it on the wall in my craft room in a place of honor so I could see it and be inspired by it!!
Thank you for sharing your wonderful projects with us all the time. I look forward to each and every one of them!
I finally received my silver gilding flakes and am planning to use them this weekend when I get into my craft room. I also got some gilding flakes that are a mix of gold, copper, brown and a dark purple color. I have used those on one card and absolutely love it. In your post about gilding flakes you used a little sponge to wipe them off. What does it do other than just wiping the last of the remnants off? If it is a step that I should be doing, where do I get one of the sponges? Sorry to have so many questions but I have lots to learn and you are a master! THANKS!
My email addy is macaskillbarbara@yahoo.com in case I win!
