Beautiful Card Designs Made Easy

Would You Like ???

Hi Everybody,

One door opens and another closes  because since I was invited to join Spellbinders .... I have had to leave the Spectrum Noir Design Team.

Because Spectrum Noir is part of Crafters Companion and they make dies then there is a conflict of interests between them and Spellbinders.

I will still be part of the instructor team and will still be doing the workshops I have planned.

I will also continue to add cards with the color lists to my blog pages.
One of the workshops is with   JGD Crafts  on the 13th September and that class is fully booked.

The other is with  Crafting4pleasure  and that is in Bristol on the 4th October.

There are a couple of places left on that workshop

So if you live near there and would like to go then you can contact  Bev on Facebook   to book your place.  Just click the link.

Now what I want to ask is that would you like me to start including cards with colored images on them in the Friday Freebie.

These will be images that I have colored and made into cards like the ones shown. Tomorrows card is already chosen but if you would like me to include some of these then I will add one next week.

Let me know what you think please

More tomorrow ...

Hugs xx

  1. I think that would be a great idea to include the cards you have coloured, it's a good source of inspiration and technique for anyone to follow. Well done on your Spellbinders demos, they are fab, really enjoyed watching you. Your confidence grew as the shows continued, you'll be a professional soon. Keep it up, I love all your cards and tutorials, they have helped me such alot. xxxx

  2. I love the images you colour Christina. I have the pens but haven't attempted to colour anything yet as have not got the confidence to use them. Wish I lived nearer the classes.

  8. As I don't or haven't done colouring Christina your cards which you have coloured are a joy to see so if you were to offer one of your cards as a Friday freebie, it would be welcomed. Any I have tried look like a 7yr old has done them!

  11. Great idea Christina. It would be so helpful to see a coloured image and try to copy it to get shading right. Love today's card - she is just gorgeous! Pat x

  12. Good morning Christina, I would prefer your traditional type of card as a Friday Freebie. It's just my personal choice perhaps you can just do a mixture then you will pleased everyone. It's so easy if you are not interested in the card you don't make a comment. Beryl xx

  15. All of your creations are so pretty, and I'm sure we'd all be well pleased to win anything from you! You are so generous to offer them to us. I enjoy using my SN markers (and now pencils) so I love seeing your videos of how to blend and color. Thank you! BethAnn M.

  17. All your cards would be wonderful to win. Both cards today are just lovely. Sad that, Spellbinders and Crafters dont feel customers will choose both for dies, why should you have to leave one for the other, childish is my opinion, as if there is not enough customers to go around. Ok, no more soap box.

  18. Hi Christina, I too think that would be lovely, and I know that whoever wins a card with a coloured image by you, would be absolutely chuffed to bits! I certainly would! I am so sorry that you have been forced to choose, it really is a shame! Also a great loss to the S N design team!
Todays cards are really lovely, my favourite being the young lady in the green! Thanks so much for all you do, you are a remarkable woman and how you manage to cram so much into your day, I will never understand! I wish I could .... to use a phrase the younger generation use when they really appreciate someone, "You rock girl" lol!

  19. Oh yes please Christina I'm pretty sure I will never win a card but if I did I would be so pleased to get any creation you have made honestly. The colored images are very pretty and take a lot of time to do I'm sure but I'm sure everyone would feel like they won the lotto if they got a colored one!
Thanks Christina you inspire me every day

  22. Yes please, Christina, I for one would love to see more of your 'colouring in'. I always enjoy watching your videos regarding using alcohol pens, especially as I'm useless at it and keep hoping that if I watch them enough something will click in my brain and I'll finally get it lol. xx

  23. Hi Christina. First thank you for the choice. Yes please, because it is another technique to learn. Do you ever get time to sleep?? Hugs. Jan. xx

  26. Hi Christine, I love your traditional type of cards the best. I do love the look of your cards today as well though so perhaps you could do a mixture and please everyone. All your cards are an inspiration to all of us. So thanks for sharing. Dianne Crowe

  27. To win anything of yours would be great. It's a shame you can't do both the Spellbinders and the Spectrum Noir but I understand the reason.

  28. After spending squillions on a full set of Spectrum Noir pens at the recent Sydney craft fair, I haven't had either the time or knowledge to use them! Hoping to watch some youtube tutorials of yours to learn the basic points. Yep, should have done that first perhaps? Only 22 more shifts till retirement, then more card making time, can't wait! I watched some of your Spellbinders shows on Create and Craft and think I will be investing in yet more than I already have. Guess that proves to my husband that you never have enough maybe :)

  29. Hi Christina
It's a shame that you have had to leave SN, plenty of scope for both Spellbinders and Crafters Companion. It would be a great honour to win any of your cards. But it's always nice to see something that has been coloured in. I have a pen set called Mirage, but I assume that most pen sets use the same principle. Hope to see you soon on our TV's.

  30. Christina,
Would we like? Are you really asking? You know we love everything you do, so of course we would love some of your hand colored cards...they are works of art. Can't wait for tomorrow.

  31. Hi Christina
Personally I prefer your flower ribbons and pearls card, but that's just my opinion.
    Kind regards

  32. All your cards are well worth winning and although I would never attempt to use the pens I would still be very happy to win a card that you colour. I always use dies and follow your tutorials. It seems very fair to give the pen users their chance to both win and learn.

  33. Any of your cards are amazing Christina, I really do not mind what you choose for Friday Freebie, this card today is just so beautiful.....CC will be sorry you have had to leave them, but Spellbinders I am sure are over the moon to have such a talented lady on their team. I have to get my daily fix with your blog every day, I just love it......luv Ursula xx

I've bought some cheap 'Sharpie' pens, maybe they'll work in a simillar way as the SN pens, must have a play with them!
