Beautiful Card Designs Made Easy

Centura Pearl ...

Hi Everybody,

It is amazing what you find once you start to clear out your craft room. It's like Christmas all over again.

I am finding things that I had forgotten about and this lovely  Centura Pearl   from Crafters Companion  was in  the back of the cupboard.

So I decided to make a card using the Victorian Collection - Medallion Three

This is the die I have used to show you some variations with in the Tuesday Tutorials and here is another one using the #2 part of the die that leaves the pattern in the card.

This has been backed with the Centura Pearl and then decorated with ribbon from my "Stash"

The Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts

I have added in some green leaves cut from   Foliage    which is a really useful die to have in your collection ... especially if you like to add flowers

The pearl flourish is from Want2Scrap  and don't be afraid to cut it up.  You can probably get three cards from one flourish

The  Sentiment One  is also from Spellbinders and again is a useful addition if your writing is not the neatest .... like mine ... I keep all my sentiment dies on my work area so that I can just grab one as needed.

Just a little note ...

I have added a permanent link in the side bar to your right for all the Tuesday Tutorials that have been done and I will add them as I do them in the future.  Each one will have a direct link to the named tutorial so they should be easier to find

More tomorrow ...

Hugs xx

  4. Good morning Christina.
This is a lovely card. We need these ideas for smaller cards, as there are a lot of larger cards around at the moment. The small ones are so much easier to send in the mail, and they look a lot more decorated than the larger ones.
Thank you for a new video on YouTube. I've been waiting for that for a while. And it's absolutely beautiful. I'm going to try one of those my self.
Lots of love from the Faroe Islands xxx

  6. Hi Christina
Another lovely card today. Thanks for showing us a smaller card, I know that most of yours are 5x7 but these smaller cards look just as nice as the bigger ones. Thanks for putting a link to your tutorials.

  8. This is so pretty, and I love all the fun elements of it. While I don't have that particular die, I am sure one of my others will work in this design. Thank you for showing us how to make use of these tools!

  9. Hi Christina, a lovely card, and yea I worked out the dies used to make it. I love Centura pearl cardstock it's so versatile. I made a similar card to yesterday's with label 42 accents, and it looks fine, I should have stuck to two layers I think but will keep it in my ideas box. Have a lovely day. X Ros

  10. Good Morning Christina :) Beautiful card this morning! Love it! As I only have the Cuttlebug machine, I just went to measure to see if I would have enough "border" after cutting out the #2 die of the Medallion 3 and I believe I would. I can eek out a 6x6 card through the machine. Thank you soooooo much for this idea. I just never think of using the negative space from the die, and yet you can make soooooo many beautiful cards from doing so. See, this is why you are My Queen! Enjoy your day Dear Lady.

  11. Hi Christina
Thanks for sharing. Love the card though just personal choice the colour is not my favourite - i'm with you, pink or white every time. Kept saying I must tidy my craft stuff for a while now - must get round to doing it

  13. Christina, it is with anticipation when I grab my tablet to look and see what you offer us. I finished a "green" card with "transparent paper". I need to google today and see if there is a difference between "transparent" paper and "parchment" paper. :)
I am learning. I have a friend , who loves this blue on this card, and I want to make a card for her. ~blessings

  17. Another beautiful card! I discovered this paper about a year ago and it quickly became my go to paper when I want to make a nicer card! I have all the colors and find myself reaching for them almost exclusively! I just love the shimmer that it gives and it is a dream when doing distress ink backgrounds! TFS!

  21. Lovely card, the colours really zing, and I adore that ribbon.
I have set myself the task of using up at least some of my stash, and it's good, rediscovering some items and seeing other ways to use them
