When Griff first created the craft room for me in 2011 I had lots of space in which to store things and everything was put away when I had finished working to keep the room neat
But over the years I have accumulated so many extras and I am running out of storage space and sometimes it looks like utter chaos.
In the centre of the room he had made me a table to work on and under that I had wire trolleys for other items, but they aren't very strong
I had to store some of my Spellbinders in a plastic box and it is just sat on the floor
Now Griff has made me a moveable work station with heavy duty castors on the bottom and he has added sections for me to divide the things I store
This is one side of it and I have added white plastic boxes to keep things clean and it stores a huge amount of items.
Then when I have my Wednesday Card Class, and I need more space, I can roll it to one side and lock the wheels.
You can also see the extra shelf that he has added along the back wall with some of my cards displayed on it
The unit also has shelving on the other side for smaller items to be stored.
This is where I was trying to do my blog posts and website but again Griff has created a lot more storage space.
You can see the magnetic sheets attached to the wall where I store much loved and much used dies
I now have shelving behind the PC for all my boxes and a complete unit to add all my Spectrum Noir pens and refills too.
It has always been my favorite place and now it is even better with everything tidy and in its own place.
It has always been my favorite place and now it is even better with everything tidy and in its own place.
More tomorrow ...
Hugs xx

hi Christina, your craft area is looking very good indeed, well done to Griff!!!. I am afraid my area looks like your before pics- don't you want to loan Griff out!!!!
ReplyDeleteWell done on tackling and sorting out your room hugs Lyn xxxx
I think you may be getting a new job of renting Griff out to all of your blog followers, Christina! WOW!! I would LOVE a space like that!! I use my very small spare room as my craft room (I have to pay the bedroom tax so thought I may as well put it to more use than just a store room). Right now though, I'm sharing it with a freezer and tumble dryer as my kitchen is teeny tiny lol. I'm a bit of a pack rat as well so there are boxes full of 'stuff' in the corners which cut down my workable space. I need a Griff in my life to give me a custom built craft room :). x
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Christina :) What a Beautiful and Awesome Craft Room!!! Griff is a Master Craftsman in his own right! No wonder you both get along so well with all the creative energy flowing in your home. How wonderful is that!! I am sooooo happy for you both!! You two are the Royalty Crafting Power Couple! Awesome!! Thank you soooooo much for sharing! Wishing you both a beautiful day to enjoy. Big Hugs.
ReplyDeleteWell done Griff, it looks fab.....you're a very lucky lady xx
ReplyDeleteYour craft room looks like a fun place to work, and it is so organized. I love that work desk; you are so lucky to have a handy husband.
ReplyDeleteGriff is a VERY talented man.... know you appreciate him..... lucky you and him.....well done Griff!!!!
ReplyDeleteWell done Griff, what an amazing unit. My husband has made loads of bits and bobs for me too, I just have to give him an idea and he is away, I just love to go into my craft room and when I have had enough close the door...my own special little haven. Yours looks absolutely amazing, much bigger than mine. Cannot bear to always be hunting for things, like to know exactly where everything is, also a nice tidy place to work.....luv Ursula xx
ReplyDeleteHi Christina was that you demonstrating the grand calibur just now on TV couldn't see your face but I thought it was you.
ReplyDeleteKind regards
Anne Owens
lol, my guest room closet looks just as bad. Never enough room for craft storage
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful work space!!! LOVE the rolling work table!! Can't wait to see more!
ReplyDeleteYour craft room is wonderful and Griff has done a fabulous job giving you great storage. I would love to know how you are storing your Spellbinder type dies (-other than the ones on the magnetic sheets on the wall). I know you used to store the Spellbinders dies on magnetic sheets inside the packaging they came in. I was in the process of doing the same when Spellbinders changed their packaging to the packets. Are you storing the newest dies in the packets? Have you changed the way you are storing your older dies? Thank you for always sharing and inspiring us.
ReplyDeleteLovely craft room Christina, thanks to Griff. Maybe when my husband retires???? Thanks for sharing. Dianne
ReplyDeleteBrilliant...do you rent Griff out at all? Lol. Looks amazing xx
ReplyDeleteJust wondering where you got the magnetic sheets? I have Been using an old cork bulletin board with glued on magnetic strips. It works, but wanted the sheets. TY for all you do! Am jealous of that craft room and ALL that storage. My hubby keeps saying, pretty soon you will have ALL you need! HA HA little does he know. LOL!
ReplyDeleteHow lucky you are to have Griff - he's so talented. Pat x
ReplyDeleteFantastic Christina, if you are coming to Australia and calling in on Kaye Charles, (first comment) would you and Griff like to spend a few days organizing my craft room. Love your cards.
ReplyDeleteRene from OZ xo
You are so lucky Christina to have such a lovely craft space and a wonderful husband to create things for you. I bought a table to put in my bedroom so my dining room table would not always be cluttered with my crafting, but guess what? I now have a table full of crafting supplies in my bedroom and my dining room table is still cluttered! lol! There is never enough room.
ReplyDeleteLovely and inspireing room :) And a very helpful husband you have :)
ReplyDeleteYou are so lucky to have Griff, so you can have customized storage designed just for you. Any chance of borrowing him for a few weeks to help me with my craft room. lol Great job, both of you!
ReplyDeleteFantastic area.
ReplyDeleteWOW !!!! What else can I say it looks absolutely fantastic. Griff has done an absolutely amazing job. After all the hard work you put into your crafting ,blog and now television demonstrating etc. You deserve it .
