I know that this color scheme is not to everybodys taste but I really like the look of this one.
It was just me playing around with some water colors again and for this one I have used Distress Inks. The colors I have used are Picked Raspberry and Mustard Seed
This method of adding the color to the card is one I have shared on Create and Craft and each time you try it the look will be different.
I have added in some pink and yellow flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts
The little sentiment is one I had in my "Stash" and I have no idea where it is from
Around the card I have dotted some pink and yellow sequins just to add that little extra.
The sentiment is added to Standard Circles Lg and then layered onto pink spotty card
I have then added them with foam pads to Lacey Circles to the lower front of my card.
More tomorrow ...
Hugs xx

Good Morning Christina :) Whenever I see Pink and Yellow together, it reminds me of Alex's Lemonade Necklace that QVC sells for fund raising. This mornings card is lovely and would certainly put a "Smile" on anyone's face. Thank you so much for sharing. Enjoy a most beautiful day. Big Hugs.

Hi Christina,
ReplyDeleteI love the yellow and pink together and the background is really unique. I like that fact that you'll never get the same result twice...my kind of crafting lol. Thanks for sharing with us. x
The colours are unusual but they do go together. Lovely sentiment, speaks volumes. Diana
ReplyDeleteGot to be honest with you, I would never have dreamt of using those two colours together .... but it does work! The only thing I would change as a personal preference, is the rather bright yellow of the lace around the circle for the sentiment .... I would have done that bit pink ... but that is just my own preference, we all see things differently and thank heavens for that! All in all, ... a beautiful outcome!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Karen xx
This turned out to be a very beautiful card. Glad you are trying the water colours. Dianne

ReplyDeleteLOVE this color combination!! I sometimes find that using colors that shouldn't be together is the best way to find refreshing new combinations!! I guess I am just a rebel who doesn't like to follow the rules! LOL
ReplyDeleteI also love the watercoloring!!! TFS!
Hi Christina, a Christina card with a twist!, I like it, pink and yellow would never have though to use them. But as everyone has said they do go together.
ReplyDeleteRegards Liz.
A lovely card Christina but I too wouldn't have used such a bright yellow. However, the more I look at your card, the more I like it very much. The water coloured background is very striking. X
