Beautiful Card Designs Made Easy

Winner

Hi Everybody,

Hope you are all well on this beautiful, scorchingly hot and sunny Saturday (joke)
It is windy, cloudy and rainy here in Blackpool.  So where has summer and the nice weather gone?
I am sat here with my right leg raised for comfort and Ruby's snoring her head off  on the chair.
It’s a pity she can’t go and make us a cuppa .... now that would be good !!

As you may have guessed I am no different and still waiting for something to happen via the doctors. I am only taking paracetamol at present until I go for the scan, which they have sent me an appointment for 5th August. So it looks like I will be suffering for a bit longer.

Thanks to those of you who have told me about your knee problems and that keyhole surgery is the way forward for cartilage troubles. It was very reassuring to me and I will of course keep you posted.

I have to say though that I am not ill, just in pain and walking and climbing stairs is a nightmare.
And of course with the craft room being up in my loft I am not getting a lot of work done.
But my sense of humour is still in tact though come what may.
I am hoping to be with Craft World Live next Friday so it may only be via Skype.
But I hope you can pop in to say hello all the same.

So let’s get to the draw for yesterday’s offer.
The name this week is .....
Marie Quick
So would you email your postal address please to
christina@card-making-magic.com
and I will get it in the post to you just as soon as I can.

My apologies to Jacqueline who is still waiting for her pack to arrive but the post office is too far  for me to walk to and driving is a bit awkward too at present. But it is ready to go and I will send it just as soon  as I can

So now Ruby has woke up and is looking at me with those Spaniel eyes to get her dinner ready.
What a cushy life this dog has. Got to go ....

Hugs xx

  1. Well done Marie, you have won a lovely gift, ah that doesn’t sound good about your knee, I don’t think paracetamol does much for the pain, the doctors should give you something stronger. Look forward to seeing you on Friday. Stay safe and stay well love Anne Owens xx

  2. Congratulations Marie. Enjoy your new ser.
    Hi Christina,
Thank you for the update, even if it is not great for you.
At least, now you know how long it will take to get your knee scan.
Personally, I prefer knowing than waiting to know.
In the mean time, it will be resting for you for a month.
I hope your son lives close enough from your place to bring you great prepared meals that you can eat up.
The beautiful weather has migrated to Cornwall, Ontario,Canada:-)
    Wishing you only the best
    With great affection
    Christine xxx

  5. Sorry to hear you’re still struggling-perhaps you could book a phone consultation with your GP to review your pain relief?

    Congrats to the winner.

  7. Congratulations Marie. Good to hear you've not lost your sense of humour. 5th August might seem ages away but the way this year is going it will be here before you know it. Looking forward to seeing you on Craft world live via Skype next week

  8. Christina, I know exactly how you feel. I know you're talking paracetamol but ibuprofen might be better as it helps with inflammation and swelling. Nothing worse when you cant get about and I know the
5th August seems like forever. Possibly phone the pharmacist and see what he thinks is best.

  9. Congratulations to the winner! Christina, I hope you find something that will diminish the pain. Are you able to get a few things down from the loft so you can work a bit? I know waiting can be an aggravation - I had tests the past couple of weeks...(8 appointments in 10 days) but no results for a while!
