Yesterday I showed you a backing paper that I made that had been inspired buy my shirt that was navy blue with pink flowers on it.
I thought it was lovely and so I got my inks out and made my own version of it. This is using what was left of those panels
The colours I used are Chipped Sapphire and Picked Raspberry and for one I smooshed the colours onto my card and for the other I made it into some plaid paper.
The right hand side of the card is the ink smooshed panel and the other is the plaid design, but although they use the same inks they look completely different.
I have used my circular dies for this card to make a flower holder to add to the top of the design and the occasion is for a special day.
In the next video I will be showing how I made these designs and another way to make your circle dies work for you, so I hope you will join me then.
So no waste from the backgrounds. the flowers make the card really feminine, and the circle does have found another use for them.
Bye for now ..
Hugs xx

Good Morning Christina and all that visit today. Another very informative post this morning. I am dying to have a go at doing some background with my limited inks. But what I can't get is, when we see your videos when you are inking on the glass ... What are you using to spread the ink on to your card. You call it a smooch ?? Is it sponge
ReplyDeleteAt the moment I am busy getting my class birthday cards ready, to give out before we go on our much needed holiday at the end of the month. When they are done I am going to have a go at this but I need everything to hand before I start. Thankyou Christina.
Sending hugs 🤗 and best wishes to everyone. Please stay safe and well 🙏

Such a pretty background piece! Love this technique to create backgrounds, and I also like to use the panels for die cutting!

Hi Christina, I'm having a break from trying to sort out my spare room and it's killing me LOL. I seem to have ended up with more stuff instead of less and the mess has migrated into my bedroom...much to the disgust of the pup as I moved his sleeping crate and he's now totally confused. Anyway, enough rambling. I do love the way that you can use your leftovers to create such wonderful cards. I'm hoping I'll find my mojo hidden amongst the boxes in the back room so that I can start using all the craft stuff my sister insists on me throwing out. Bejay xx
ReplyDeleteI like the background paper, the colors are pretty and spring like. Have a wonderful and warm day. Vicki L Phillips
