Friday Freebie 006

Friday Freebie 006
Hi Everybody,

This week the  Friday Freebie is created using the very delicate flowers from  Petal Lu

When I add the link before to Lucindas page she was happy to get lots of orders for her Petal Lu flowers.

The card is in a lovely shade of peach and I have used the Botanical Swirl  for the background.
I have added in some pearls around the label and the sentiment has been stamped in Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink and then clear embossed.

The ribbon was from my "Stash" and the pearls around the frame are from Want2Scrap

I have used fine glitter on the flowers from Glitter Magic

It is a very pretty card and it needs a new home so if you would like to win this one then leave me a comment.

You have a few days extra this week to leave me a comment as due to personal commitments I am unavailable. I have left scheduled posts.

I will give the winners name on Tuesday ...   once I am back at my PC

You will have 48 hours from Tuesday to send me an email ...  christina@card-making-magic.com ... and  claim it.

More tomorrow ...

Hugs xx

Charms again ...

Hi Everybody,

The other day I added the video to show you how to add charms to your cards but they were all silver and that may not be the color that you want to add.

So here is s short video to show you how to alter the color of them to suit your project.

Now I know I have said it before but I need to add it here again ... and that is if you know about these things then please ignore the video as I am  not  trying to teach experienced  card makers anything.

But there are new people coming to card making for the first time and they don't know ... and so this is for them.

To help them build the confidence they need to be as good as you ...  the seasoned card maker.

Here is a close up of a metal corner that I have covered in Pink embossing powder.

The ribbon is the one that has been colored in the next video which will show you what I did.

The beautiful flowers are from Petal Lu  and they are very delicate and pastel shades.

But you can choose colors and styles for your self from Lucindas' Facebook page.

The metal corners are from Wild Orchid Crafts  but the same technique can be applied to die cut corners as well and they look just as good.

The card is made to the Hinged card style and I have used Labels Thirty Four layered on top.

The sentiment  and the embossing folder are  from Crafters Companion  and the folder is called Regency Swirls and it is lovely.

More tomorrow ...

Peaches and Cream ...

Hi Everybody,

Here is another card using the beautiful handmade pastel flowers from   Petal Lu

For this card I picked out  the peach shades and added them to the cream.

The peach card in the background is Coredinations and I have embossed it before placing it behind the Botanical Swirls.

I have used the largest Pearl frame from the matching "Bling" from Want2Scrap   that goes with the  Labels  Twenty die set and just sat it onto the background.

Who says it need to be added to the actual die cut ???

The verse is from Sentimentals from Crafters Companion

There is such a lot of mileage that can be had from those stamps and there are some lovely sentiments in them for all occasions.

The ribbon is some that I bought in a pack from TKMaxx and it was really cheap.

New flowers ...

Hi Everybody,

This pale blue card is using flowers from a different maker.

They are from a lady who sells her flowers via Facebook and you will find her page at .... Petal Lu

Her flowers are all hand made and to order and they are so delicate.

I asked for pastel shades and that is what I have and they are very pretty.

I have added fine glitter from  Glitter Magic  to the flowers and they sparkle in the light.

I have also added some teardrop Diamante into the corsage for a more fancy look.

So here is the first card made with them and I love it.

The dies used are listed below and the effect is really pretty with this mix.

The lace border is created from Moroccan Accents and I have laid the ribbon on the top of some real lace running across the border.

The sentiment is from   Crafters Companion     and I have stamped and embossed it  with turquoise "Wow"  embossing powder and it looks good.

Watch out for more cards using flowers from Petal Lu in some of the other colors in my collection.

More tomorrow...
