Tone on tone ...

Hi Everybody,

This beautiful card is much better in real life than the picture shows.

I am really pleased with the way it looks and it has already been sold.

The lacy edge panels are glittered and look just gorgeous.

 The flowers and white leaves are  from Wild Orchid Crafts  and they also have added sparkle with fine glitter from Glitter Magic

The butterflies are some I bought on a roll  from a stall at the craft show and unfortunately I don't know which one ... soreee !!

The ribbon is from Mei Flower and is a soft satin ribbon that ties in a bow beautifully.  And this is the ribbon that colors really well with Isopropyl.

The little sentiment is from Crafters Companion and would be suitable for any special occasion.

I have embossed it in silver.

The lovely embellishment on the bow is diamante and pearl from WOC

Today Card Making Magic is Five years old and I know you will want to help me celebrate that event.

Please Note ...

Hi Everybody,

No card to this post  ... but something I need to tell you about.

You  may have noticed that I have taken down the badge for The Art Studio from both these pages and the website and that is because from the end of this  month they are closing their website down

I  have removed the badge because I don't ant anyone going to buy my classes  from them only to find out that the website is being discontinued.

I  am so sorry about this but it is not in my power to do anything about it.  All we have been told is that it is going due to financial constraints. 

I  am however looking at ways to move my video classes with them to another source and once that is done the classes will be password protected until they have been purchased.

People who have already purchased will be given instructions on what to do.

In the meantime I can give you no other information as I don't know anything else and if there is anything in particular that you need to know then you will need to ask The Art Studio.

My most sincere apologies are sent to those of you who bought and enjoyed my classes I feel really bad to let you  down  but  I am just as disappointed as you are.

I will keep you in the loop as to what is happening in the future.

Card for a 21st

Hi Everybody,

This is a card I was asked to make for a special birthday.

The remit was for a pink and flowery card and I think it fits that bill.

It has several layers using Labels Twenty Five all separated by foam tape to give height.

It is a delicate shade of pink and the ribbon is double tied into a beautiful bow.

I have added a large pearl cluster to the centre.

There are tiny pearls around the frame and the sentiment and they are from Want2Scrap    They give a very subtle decoration to the card.

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts   ... and if you haven't discovered WOC yet then you are missing a real treat.

Their  flowers are gorgeous .... well priced and they ship worldwide ... what more could you ask for ???

For the inside I have added a verse and it is from a CD by Crafters Companion.  ... but it is an old one and so may no longer be available



There is also a pocket for the buyer to add her  signature to the little  label inside

The numbers are die cut from Glitter card and added with foam tape.

The flowers have the addition of sparkle from Glitter Magic

I have also made a matching box for this card.

It is going to be hand delivered so no problem with the post.

New Hatpins

Hi Everybody,

So this is what I have been doing over the weekend.

 I ordered some new beads, diamante roundels, glass beads and other items to create some new designs for the Hatpins

They are very pretty and they have been added to Etsy  in packs of five assorted designs.
I have more stuff on the way and will get busy making other designs  when it arrives.

I have bough the items from various places ... mainly China and so will need to wait now for the  postman to deliver them all.




But the Hatpins and end protectors are from the  Sparkles Group   

They can be found on Ebay at the moment until their website is up and running again.

If you add the code CG05  at the checkout then a discount will be applied automatically for you.

Here are just a couple of close up ideas and I will show more next week.
