Chester Weekend Break ....

Hi Everybody,

This is me "live" again after a lovely weekend away in Chester... and the  weather has been so kind to us

We just relaxed on the Friday as we didn't get there until late afternoon and the hotel was very comfortable and friendly.

We stayed at the Mill Hotel and on the Friday evening we had our dinner aboard this narrow boat as we sailed along the Shropshire canal.

Then it was up early on Saturday morning to go and explore the city centre

We visited the Cathedral and wandered along the Cloister corridors in the peace and quiet.

We had several coffee stops in different places... and some delicious ice cream after a sailing along the river Dee

I couldn't resist taking this photo to show you as I thought it was very amusing ... and I bet many a wife would love to take up the offer and leave hubby for a while.


So later today I will be telling you who is the  winner the April "Give Away" and all those lovely goodies that are on offer.

Indigo Blu Background Stamp ...

Hi Everybody,

The pretty sentiment on this card is from Crafters Companion and I have stamped and embossed it in gold and added it to gold mirror card.

The background has been stamped with the Circle Dot stamp from Indigo Blu and it is quite a large stamp.

I have covered it with Gilding flakes from the same company. A very simple card with just the addition of the ribbon.

The centre of the ribbon is part of a bracelet that I bought from Primark for a couple of £'s and dismantled to use the pieces separately.

So again this is scheduled post and tomorrow I will be back at my PC  .... I will of course be giving you the name of the Friday Freebie winner.

A Fun Card ...

Hi Everybody,

Here is the first of the scheduled posts  and  this card is just for fun  ...  it is not one that I would sell or give away.

It was put together very quickly to see what the dies looked like that I got in the post yesterday morning.

The new dies are the Feathers and I have tucked them into the flowers ... and the birds on a wire both are from  IconUK

The background is silver Mirror card and it has been embossed with Picnic Plaid embossing folder from Crafters Companion.

Now I know that many of you like this folder but that CC wont ship to Canada, New Zealand and Australia.

After some research I have found a company that carries CC products and  I wrote to them and this is the reply I got....  

What I have been doing in previous, is for the customer to drop me an email, we then pick what items they are interested in buying, and we weigh them and put the parcel through Royal mail up to the payment stage and then see what is the price and then email them back with a final price quote. It does take a little time doing it this way but it is the fairest at the moment rather than giving a round figure that everyone has to pay, some ladies only want one folder etc..so the price dispatching that would be less than say the three A4 folders :)
I hope for the time being this is okay.

Friday Freebie 006

Friday Freebie 006

Hi Everybody,

This week the  Friday Freebie is created using the very delicate flowers from  Petal Lu

When I add the link before to Lucindas page she was happy to get lots of orders for her Petal Lu flowers.

The card is in a lovely shade of peach and I have used the Botanical Swirl  for the background.

I have added in some pearls around the label and the sentiment has been stamped in Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink and then clear embossed.

The ribbon was from my "Stash" and the pearls around the frame are from Want2Scrap

I have used fine glitter on the flowers from Glitter Magic

It is a very pretty card and it needs a new home so if you would like to win this one then leave me a comment.

Lili of the Valley Rabbits...

Hi  Everybody,

A  little bit of  Spectrum Noir today and this cute image is from  Lili of the Valley.

The colors used are ...

Rabbits ...  TN1 TN2 TN3 IG1 IG2 PP1
Flowers     LV2  LV3 PP4 
Grass        DG2 CG1

The flowers are as always from  Wild Orchid Crafts and I have  picked out  lemon and lilac ones  for this corsage.

No  Hatpin today but the petals are sparkled with  Glitter Magic and it does make such a  difference to the look. 

The  lilac  ribbon has a silver edge to it and it is is from  Mei Flower  ...  I have added a little  pearl flower centre to it.

It's Friday again tomorrow and there is a real treat of a card up for grabs
