Hi Everybody,
Once again it has been playtime in my craft room and I absolutely love this little card and for this I have used yet more new water colors.
These are the boxed Japanese Gansai Tambi Water Color Paints
These paints are rich and creamy and full of pigment to make the colours vibrant and easy to work
I do not profess to be an artist and I can't draw for toffee ... but do you know I had so much pleasure from coloring this image that I don't care if it's right or wrong.
I am sure that there are many many mistakes on it but I love it and I think that some child would be thrilled to get this as a Birthday card.
All I am trying to do is encourage you to give things a try.
All I am trying to do is encourage you to give things a try.
Why not pop over to the website and see how I coloured in this card using the
then get out your paints and color along with me
More tomorrow ...
Hugs xx

The images are so adorable and I especially like the vivid colors in the first card. I haven't seen b watercolors that are that saturated but I really like them. I think I'll pull out my watercolors and give it a go.

I have just bought some of these water colours. Your card is an inspiration to break open the box and have a go!
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Christina :) Why am I up at 4:30 a.m...... had to shovel a spot for my two fur babies. Snow is still coming down... Good day to craft, eh? Christina, this is just TOO CUTE!! It just doesn't get any better that! First of all, there are no mistakes in art. It's YOUR interpretation. It's unique to you. If you like it, that's all that matters. But chances are, if you like it, others will too. Thank you for your encouragement. I've been using some Faber-Castel Gelatos, but I also have a less expensive water color set and I've been playing around with them, as well. It's just fun. And I've been pretty happy with my results, as well. It's not the Mona Lisa, but it's great for cards. Enjoy a lovely day Dear Lady. Big Hugs.
ReplyDeleteSo sweet cards, Christina!
ReplyDeleteThanks for a wonderful coloring tutorial!
Hi Christina

Hi Christina,
ReplyDeleteAw, some more really cute bunnies. I love them!! I think you are marvellous with a paintbrush Christina and an inspiration. Yes, you're right...I most certainly do have some watercolours (cheap ones) on a shelf gathering dust. I still want to get this set though as I've heard nothing but great reports about them...they are making their way to the top of my Amazon wish list as I type lol.

ReplyDeleteExcellent coloring.
ReplyDeleteI love your bunnies and yes I use my watercolors. Love the card.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute couple of bunnies you have chosen to colour. Your water colouring is amazing. I will pop over and check out your tutorial tonight. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteJust watched your video- it LOOKS easy! BUT! I think I would need a lot of practice to get such a great result. However I may just give it a go eventually - you are very encouraging. xxx
ReplyDeleteAww, such a cute little pair. I love the way you colored them.
ReplyDeleteA gorgeous card with a beautifully coloured image!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards Christina, love the sweet images and the colours are wonderful. I got these watercolour paints for xmas and I just love them, but I'm not as good as you at the colouring, need more practise, Kate x
ReplyDeleteLovely colouring Christina. Perhaps I will have to hint for my birthday. You never know I might be lucky.
ReplyDeleteChristina, I thought you were a professional artist. All your work speaks as if it is. I love to color and your encouragement in watercolors and alcohol markers have meant alot to me. I bought grandchildren art books for Christmas and art paper and pencils. They are always doodling. For the first time ever I learned to copy an image- drawing the object smaller or bigger. So fun!! Thank you!! I even use crayola markers when that is all I have!! ~blessings, Louise
ReplyDeleteHi Christina, Love these great cards and the wonderfully coloured bunnies. Thanks for the very informative video, I'm off to have more practice. Janelle x
